Reviewed By TaylorJ724For two Canadian tourists coming to the North of Brazil - where there is very little English spoken, unlike the tourist hotspots like Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paolo- this was such a nice place to stay! We had a bit of a problem when we arrived, as their ad on hostels.com was in english, and none of the staff spoke it. Luckily, our Brazilian friend was with us to translate, although I'm sure we would have figured it out eventually! The room was immaculate, the staff tried very hard to be welcoming and friendly to us through a little Portuguese that we knew. The front desk staff were so kind, pulling out the Google Translate page on the computer when we were having trouble communicating. This inn is right on the beach, close to bars, restaurants, and shopping, if you choose to wander. Very safe, very good price. I would love to go back, Brazil is such a beautiful country.

Reviewed By l_mira2014Villa très agréable un peu loin du centre mais tranquillité assurée ! Nous étions 5 , une chambre parentale , et une chambre lit double et lit simple . Draps propres comme le reste entier de la maison , cuisine extérieure simple mais bien équipée , grand jardin , mangues fraîches et noix de coco servies tous les jours par le personnel de la maison. Petit havre de paix à atins je recommande

Great location, very basic room
Reviewed By davidoffskiOne minute driving from the ferry crossing the river and, as the name says, located right in the center of town on a square full with mango trees. Shops and restaurants closeby. The room is very basic and small with not even a window, but we only used it as a place to sleep anyway. Wifi is good and the room has a fridge, good shower and airco. Breakfast is fine but the area can get a bit crowded.

Lovely family-owned pousada with nice people and atmosphere
Reviewed By Elisabet IMelo and his family are always there to help any visitor. They handmade build their pousada, full of art and creativity and green spaces and 'retes' to make a nice nap. I will repeat my stay there. It's not for people searching luxuries, stay there if you wanna meat locals and stay in a place made with love and care. The only thing to improve, quality of beds.

Reviewed By 267paulalGood attendance, a little bit far from the center. The hotel needs to go under reform, but the good point is that it's not so close to the river, so you do not have the bugs' issue. Breakfast is basic, wifi does not work. Of you wanna have your room cleaned,you must leave the keys in the reception area (they only informed us on our last day about it).

Temporary Closed. Ilhas dos Poldros is located in River Parnaiba's Delta. To arrive in it, takes a 15 minutes boat in Porto dos Tatus. The island has 1200 ha and 18 kilometer beach. The main house has two double rooms, and there are also two independent bungalows with double beds also, so it can accommodate 8 people. Wide leisure area, swimming-pool, internet, satellite TV, and optional quads and boat excursions.
Charming stay at Ilha dos Poldros
Reviewed By Love2KiteA small quaint pousada that sits on the top of a hill which boasts a spectacular view of the delta and sea. Watching the sunset from here is a must as it is really special, especially with the birds flying around at that time. Even though the pousada is small and it feels more like staying at someone’s summer home, the bungalows are comfortable and clean. However, the showers are not set with hot water so one needs to be able to take a shower with whatever the water temperature there is! The food is very good, specially prepared by the cook and her team with a varied menu, and everyone gathers for meals in the living and dining room located in the main house. The atmosphere is more cosy so guests can interact with each other. The staff are hospitable and helpful and they make your stay a comfortable one with their friendly personalised service. A truly relaxing and enjoyable stay!
