Great place with nice atmosphere
Reviewed By 11janikI came here after a long search looking for a hotel or place to stay in Matala. When I got here I straight away felt welcomed (the people are amazing) and so it was an easy decision to stay in Hotel Marina. It was the best decision as I had a great stay and could enjoy Matala fully! Hopefully see you again one day :)

The hotel Casa Di Veneto is located at old Hersonissos and is ready to host, welcome and offer guests 6 suites which combine luxury with Cretan tradition. The design will transport you to past centuries as it is based on the traditional architecture of the area. Moreover, the suites have been named after 6 of the goddesses of Olympus: Hera, Aphrodite, Demeter, Hestia, Athena and Artemis.

Reviewed By Ronnie MWe booked a weeks holiday here for June through booking.com. We accidentally pressed the wrong dates and immediately called booking com to change them. They tried several times to contact the owners without success. We eventually got in contact with them ourselves, but only had rude, unprofessional 2 word replies. We then unfortunately had to cancel our holiday due to 2 unforseen events, including terminal cancer of my wife's Father. There is an option saying cancel without losing your deposit, which we took. We received a response from booking.com saying they await response from the owners. They got no response, neither did we after sending several e-mails explaining why we had to cancel, so they have obviously decided to keep our money, even during very stressful circumstances. We are just glad we didn't have to spend a week with people like that! 0/5... Don't go here if you have any worry about cancelling your holiday, spend your money with nice people that will actually reply instead! Ronnie & Yvonne

If you want to have a closer look at the Cretan nightlife, Chersonissos, which is only 10 minutes drive from the hotel, is the right place. Beautifull oasis, but be aware of the driveway
Reviewed By SnorkelingmanThis place is beautifully located, close to the sea. We were impressed also by all the beautiful plants and flowers. The owner really did a great job. The rooms are large and everything was really clean. Close to the Diana apartments is a busy village where you can find good restaurants near the sea. One should be very carefull for the driveway (entrance to the property) when coming by car. The change of slope is such that the bottom of the car will inevitably touch the road and it will be scratched. I noticed numerous scratches on the road from other cars. The insurance of a rented car does not cover damage at the underside of the car, so it could be a costly affair.

That was the best trip in Greece!! Everything because we have really exellent apartments/Aglaia. Separately want to thanks Kostas! He provide us one of the best room with view on the sea!Very kind and fair men! He will help you in any situations! Rooms were clean and shiny! Also we had clean pool! Everything were PERFECT! Wait for us!

Empathy at first sight...
Reviewed By Tiziana DJodi, the landlady, welcomed us in her cozy BB with a lot of sympathy and attention. She gave us excellent suggestions on how to move in this magnificent area of Crete. Bright and clean room nestled in the countryside a few steps from the town of Pitsidia, also very welcoming, the only sounds we heard were those of crickets and farm animals, anti-stress par excellence. Matala is 4 km away. excellent location to reach every location in the area but away from the urban chaos. I would like to go back and suggest it to my friends on holiday in Crete
