I went to this restaurant for a Pizza and everything was fine. The place is awesome, the staff is friendly and the pizza is spectacular. If you happen to be in Salento, You should absolutely try this restaurant!

While staying in Caprarica di Lecce I found this highly recommended restaurant on Tripadvisor, I phoned for a reservation, answering machine and left a message, perhaps too early, I thought to myself, later just before 8.00pm I phoned again and left a message again confirming the reservation. Miles in the countryside and very narrow roads we arrive to find the place locked no lights, no notices, no warning on the answering machine (I speak and understand Italian perfectly). These people do not care, practically ruined our evening.

We were four hungry and thirsty cyclists heading to Lecce but needing food and refreshment on a hot afternoon. Place looked closed but door open. On going in and enquiring, they were only too happy take us in, set us down at a large table and cook us a delicious pasta meal, with wine, and ice cream to finish. They even put on some romantic background music for us and left us in peace. The evening menu dishes looked delicious.

A quiet little restaurant in a very quiet village. I would say more attuned to local trade than tourist trade - the food sort of reflects that in it is very particular local flavours that did not work for me. Quantity huge, for me quality not as high

Amazing value, great pizzas and really nice people! You can have up to 4 different types of pizza on a metre length. Try Mari e monti for a different take on prawn pizza.

We visited for dinner two nights in a row. As a gluten free eater this restaurant was AMAZING! pretty much everything on the menu can be gluten free and everything I tried was absolutely delicious! On the second night as we paid the bill the chef/owner offered my dad and I are little shot of his home made limoncello- I was genuinely humbled. Thank you so much for your delicious gluten free food and friendliness!

A great place to taste home made Salentinian dishes. High quality ingredients and good preparation in a family run restaurant. It's not very easy to find this place as it is needed to drive through a small village called Pisignano and then to follow the signs to the place along the way to Lizzanello. But then you can experience a great selection of local dishes, a nice place with tables outside in the garden and the great atmosphere of the Salento country side during the summer.Ask for the suggested appetisers selection to start in style! ....and then try the various meat based recipes.

We had a quite dinner for two on the recommendation of a local who is a friend of the owner Stefano. He could not have been more helpful and one of the kitchen staff provided some translation about the dishes. All of which were great, and generous as we nearly rolled out the door. Quite cheap and a great place to try some of the local cuisine. Happily go back again. Well done Stefano.

Niche restaurant with 25 seats inside and 25 seats outside. Here you can taste first and second dishes of true Salento's and typical Roman cooking, prices are available to all. The place, made from a storic center ancient house, artistically represents th
We went there for dinner with some friends on a warm monday night. The location is in Strudà 's main square, facing the old castle (charming but cannot be visited). The restaurant is tiny but very tidy and cozy, high-vaulted and decorated inner rooms are very nice. We sat at a table outside but I do recommend the inside for its charming look.Food is typically local, from a very various and tasty appetizer (bruschettas with tomato/basil or fresh ricotta cheese with oil and pepper, aubergines rolls, fried pittule, grilled vegetables and a very tasty mint-flavoured omelette).First courses were really excellent and huge in quantity; I strongly recommend the sagne ncannulate (homemade twisted pasta) with tomato sauce and the ravioli stuffed with ricotta cheese and nuts. The owners Grazia and Giovanni are very warm and friendly, they really made us feel home. We'll be surely back to try the meat dishes!!!!
