This is a wonderful place where to stay in Calabria in the seaside is too hot,is in the mountain, fresh and expecially it has a good kitchen.If you wanna taste the traditional food of the calabria's Mountains you can do it here.The price is very low we spent about 25 euro each all included.

La Taverna dei Borboni in Spadola is a really nice place. A fresh interior and friendly people. And of course excellent calabrian food at reasonable prices. The Mushrooms from the surrounding woods are excellent as the antipasti buffet you must not miss! Every dish we tried was really tasty and you can not go wrong here.

In una location del genere mi aspetterei di mangiare bene sempre, non è stato così per vari motivi.Domenica di Settembre , locale pieno di gente , quindi purtroppo, personale di sala frettoloso e poco attento alle esigenze del cliente però in compenso c'era una specie di anzianotto palestrato, probabilmente della famiglia che fungeva da vedetta ,osservando tutti e tutte mentre inebriava l'aria di tabacco puzzolente mentre la gente mangiava sotto la veranda.L'antipasto che dovrebbe essere il fiore all'occhiello di un ristorante tipico era composta da prodotti da supermercato discount ( salumi,sott'oli,formaggio,) funghi in carpaccio scarsissimi di qualità e quantità , tagliatelle ai funghi porcini ( ? ) scadenti ( condimento insapore e prodotto surgelato), grigliata di carne buona , vino della casa discreto , conto abbastanza alto in virtù delle portate. Penso che in questo locale si mangi meglio non di Domenica .Il mantra deve essere chel'attenzione al cliente e ai prodotti che si presentato a tavola non deve mai venire meno , anche se si hanno tutti i tavoli pieni.Noi Calabresi tante volte perdiamo di vista l'obiettivo secondo il quale il cliente và trattato come un ospite di riguardo , chi non lo capisce rientra nella tipologia del mangimificio da abbuffini...!!!

We had lunch here one day while visiting the monastery. The choices on the menu reflected traditional local cuisine and it was easy to order things that appealed. Service was friendly although no one spoke anything but Italian we all managed to make ourselves understood. The food was obviously cooked to order and when it came very good indeed. Pricing was extremely fair for the standards and service and I would certainly return.

This is a gem of a restaurant! The family also owns the attached butcher shop where you can chose your steak, etc. and have it cooked to your liking. Very reasonable prices with friendly and professional service. Ritaâs cooking is amazing with lovely presentation. You should eat here.

This is by far some of the best food I have ever tasted. Our host was amazing. The chef learned his trade from his mother and his Nonna. Excellent wines and aperitivo as well as after dinner drinks. The pasta was to die for and the antipasto was truly one of a kind. A five star restaurant in a quaint little town called Serra San Bruno. Don't miss out on this restaurant.

I was following carefully this restaurant because we always listened a lot of nice review of it. Finally I went back to my original place and we had the opportunity to taste the delicatessens of this restaurant. Traditional chicken with all the experience and the taste of a really good Calabrian chef. We spend a lovely night and we will warmly recommend this place if you are a couple or a small group of friends who want to taste somethings specials!!! Bravo chef continua così!!!
