I visited corte Zanella on boxing day with my husband to have a nice meal away from the family! The place is easy to find with an ample parking area.The restaurant is modern with a simple deco but very welcoming and warm.Incredibly friendly and professional staff, very lovely ladies.The menu is simple but yummy. For starter I had a meringue of truffle with an egg yolk. Oh my... probably one of the tastiest dishes I've ever tried! Soft, melt in the mouth meringue, powerful truffle, velvety egg and crunchy bread. Heaven on a plate! I could it over and over again. The man had a selection of game ham: duck, stag, boar, deer, served with bread and pate. Then I had pasta with chestnuts, mushrooms and red onion pate. Sublime. And a very filling portion! Husband had a perfectly cooked "risotto col puntel" speciality from Mantova, being risotto with sausage served with a pork rib. Then he had pork (wow) and I had tuna steak. Ouch. Here's the only problem of the day... I asked for a very very raw tuna, but when it arrived it was overcooked for my liking. I didn't complained coz tuna is expensive, but it ruined it a bit. To finish off we had chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and zabaione, and a millefoglie. Oooh... lovely. And I was so full.Great selection of wine. We chose lambrusco di Sorbara, a fizzy black, a favourite of mine. To top it all, we received a visit from Ciccio, the owner's cat, that purringly sat on my knees... cuuute!I cannot tell you how much we spent because tha man paid, but all the dishes on the menu went from 9 to 15 euros. Considering the quality of the food, more than reasonably priced. I will surely go back!

Just before the narrow bridge you can find this lovely osteria. We went there for pranzo, that is, just after midday. Order appetizer and first course or first course following the second course because dishes are abundant and so tasty. I had salterei e zucchine fritte and gnocchi al cacao con gamberi e crema di porri. Both dishes accompanied with local Lambrusco. Rustic and warm atmosphere. A place to return for certain. Highly recommended.

One of the very few campings around that part of Italy. Got there by bike.The owner was very friendly.The facilities are not that good. No sit down toilet. Only two showers, and no potable water. Not that many shade. The bottled water was very expensive.Thankfully Gazzuolo has a water point.

Location molto semplice, all'ingresso assomiglia più ad un bar, mentre nel retro si trova una sala con diversi tavoli. Menù non troppo variegato, ma con buone proposte. Risotto ai fuori di zucca ed Amarone molto buono. Prezzi nella norma.

We are glad we decided to stop for the night at an Agriturisimo Bed and Breakfast in the small town of Gazzuolo otherwise we would not have discovered this wonderful truly authentic Italian restaurant.The restaurant which is in the one and only main street has a large dining room with tables set up with white tablecloths and an array of glasses.The menu is varied and they also offered specials for the night we dined.We had a mixed salad to start with served with balsamic vinegar and olive oil which came in their own original bottles to pour and mix yourself.For mains we had a Parma pizza which had a thin crust and was delicious with generous serving of Parma ham.The other main was a nero or black spaghetti with scampi which included a deliciously creamy tomato sauce.For desert we had Tiramasu which came served in a large glass.It had a delicate chocolate flavour.The other desert was a pistachio terrine which was exquisite in its presentation and taste.A marvelous meal made even more truly authentic given that the menu was all in Italian and the maitre d' could not expand on the descriptions of some of the menu items from Italian to English for us.

Bella Osteria risistemata , interni semplici ma molto accoglienti , personale molto gentile ed efficiente. Eravamo un gruppetto e pertanto ci siamo divisi un antipasto di salumi e verdure niente male ma il meglio credo siano stati i primi . Pasta tutta fatta in casa e si sente tutto lâamore ci mettono ....buonissimi i tortelli sia col tartufo che col radicchio ed anche le fettuccine con i porcini ottime abbiamo assaggiato altri due primi entrambi gustosi . Per finire tris di dolci a cui non si può rinunciare in speciale modo al tiramisù con la nutella . Prezzo per quello che abbiamo mangiato e bevuto oltre che al bel servizio ricevuto più che abbordabile !!! Sicuramente torneremo per unâaltra cena in compagnia !!!

The only positive thing about this place is the location..all the rest is just an artificial theatre..food?horrible and expensive!I could write a lot,but in a nutshell ..If you want to eat well like in Italy you can,simply do not go there!!!!!There are nearby a lot of lovely Osteria not pretending being posh and offering a real,great quality food..trust me!

A nice restaurant with very attentive service, and high-quality cuisine. You can order either a la carte or a degustation menu for 30 euro. The latter is very big and a good value. A lot of components are of local production which always makes a good impression. The deserts where great! In general-a very nice eveningin a relaxed athmosphere with excellent food. Thank you!
