We were a party of 6 and since we didn't have power at the house we rented we headed to dinner. Manuel Antonio didn't have any power and since it was mothers day in Costa Rica it took several hours to repair the problem. The waitress at the Colina was very accommodating, she had candles and we were able to order wood fired pizzas. The pizzas were very good, we enjoyed our quiet dinner by candle light it made for an interesting experience. Just beware that there are lots of steps to get to the restaurant and parking is tight.

The food at Gondola is very good. The service, even better. We had lunch and a couple of evening meals here, during our holiday in late November. We ate in the restaurant one evening and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The portion sizes were just right, the choices reasonable and the presentation beautiful. It was expensive, but we enjoyed the food and the experience and so didn't mind paying a little extra. We ordered room service from Gondola to Hotel Plaza Yara one evening. The food delivered was nice, but not really worth the price when out of the ambience of the restaurant. We do not recommend this.Gondola offer pool side snacks and drinks at Hotel Plaza Yara. Again, the service is very professional, friendly and unobtrusive. The lunch menu is more limited but very good. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant if you are not on a tight budget!

First off I want to say how friendly and helpful our waiter Juel was. I ordered a chicken dish that was exceptional my girlfriend ordered a prawn pasta dish, which was very nice. Friendly service and they even brought dessert to our room. Only downside is that our mains took a long time to come out, which is why they get 4 not 5 stars.Greetings from Issimo Suites & Spa John! El Wagon is hands down our favorite restaurant in Manuel Antonio and has been for the past several years. It's one of the top things our family looks forward to year after year. Absolutely love the El Wagon Salad and Margarita Pizza. Do yourself a favor and give this place a try. Make sure you tell Ceasar Lance and Rhonda said HI!!!!

So impressed by the amazing food and customer service at this restaurant. I had the fettuccini Alfredo and my husband had the number one California pizza. We finished our meal with homemade Nutella cheesecake which was second to none. Best meal we had during our week stay in Costa Rica by far :)

We'd had a late lunch so just ordered something light for our evening meal. 2 x chicken caesar salad's, 1 x roasted pepper & feta salad, 1 x grilled octopus. Large portion sizes. All extremely tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we didnt get to enjoy the daytime views. As other reviewers have mentioned... stung by a 23% tax charged onto the final bill.
