The staff is friendly. And with Pizza itâs tough to go wrong. But if you have a choice, take it! The terrace is ugly and not inviting. Also, why would you serve Heineken of all beers? At least we were full.

A fine stagione per una delle ultime passeggiate si va in Val Grosina. A Malghera il rifugio vicino all'imponente Santuario della Madonna del Muschio, dapprima un po' stupiti di vedere degli ospiti autunnali, poi l'ospitalita' e la piacevole simpatia del cuoco e del gestore si scalda subito. As I live in Italy very close to Al Castagneto it is a must visit once a month,the traditional,locally sourced produce is cooked beautifully and in abundance,the location is breathtaking and the atmosphere and service is warm and welcoming,if you are in this part of Italy a must visit!

We have stopped here with 5 adults and 5 children. Great choice of excellent Pizzas, Fillet Steak with different sauces and local dishes of course. All dishes freshly prepared with seasonal touches (e.g mushrooms).Tip: Very good and enjoyable. Book a table in the cellar room!

Came across this place by chance and simply because my little boy was hungry! It was late so was just happy that we were given a table. The restaurant was full and we were told that very little was left on the menu! A tray of anti pasti was produced, as was a bottle if table wine bread and water! The quality if everything was of a very high standard! After that we were told what was left of the mains, and as my little fella wasn't feeling too well due to all the bends in the roads he didn't want a main but I ordered mine. All ov this followed by great espresso and home made cakes! My son was given a cammomile because the waitress thought it might help. We didn't have window seats which is a pity because its a very pretty spot! When the bill came I was overly impressed, as my son hadn't eaten a main we were basically charged for only one person! Great views, considerate staff, very good food! Just a pleasure. Thank you.

This Michelin-rated restaurant is set in the small Hotel Sassella and is the pride of the owner Jim and his family. Fresh local trout, varieties of unique local pasta (like pizzocheri) and a lovely selection of Italian wines make for unforgettable meals. Their meats are delicious and perfectly prepared -- one of the best beef dishes I've had. Don't miss this gem of a restaurant if you are lucky enough to enjoy the Valtellina area of Italy. You won't regret it.
