We enjoyed the food and wine which was all very traditional. However the level of service was questionnable. We felt like we were being rushed through service and almost had no time between courses. That's a shame as the location is nice and we were not in a hurry. No one speaks a single word of english and the place really could use a thorough clean.

My experience at Circolo Privato Gruppo Alpini was excellent in every respect. The quality of food is superb, I tried Montegrappa bruschetta which I highly recommend mainly for the freshness and delicious taste of the ingredients. The staff is welcoming and genuinly friendly. The menu is varied and can accomodate gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan requirements. A beautiful and cozy atmosphere with a lovely fireplace.

All'interno del castello del Capitano delle Artigliere riapre l'Osteria del Castello. Cucina tipica romagnola dove gustare un buon vino.
Curious to try this new restaurant set inside one of the beautiful medieval castles of Terra del Sole, and coincidentally, where my husband and I also had our wedding reception almost 4 years ago, I was delighted to get a booking for Saturday evening. From when the booking was made to when we left the restaurant, we were made feel so much more than guests, more like friends. The warmth of the staff extends to the atmosphere and the decor, with its medieval style which adds an eclectic feel to the whole experience. The chef, Matteo, is oozing with a genuine passion for food, and in particular, making sure its locally sourced. This passion coupled with a wealth of international culinary experience made us excited about what was to come. And we were not disappointed! My starter of scallops (cappesante) on a bed of crunchy cabbage was divine. My husband had the tagliere with local meats, once of which (the culatello?) came with a super spicy kick, which was as much surprising as it was pleasant, also on the plate were local cheeses and honey. We both had the filetto with asparagus sourced from Castrocaro. Cooked to perfection. Great and extensive wine list, which we don't always get in these parts. We chose a local wine from Drei Dona. Desserts for us were pannacotta with chocolate shavings, still warm, and chantilly cream with papaya and strawberry. Light but luscious! The bill came to just over 100 euro (we bought some of that honey that was on my husband's starter) which considering the quality of the food, the service, the location and the overall feeling of having had a really wonderful evening, we were more than happy to pay. We can't wait to go back!Thank you very much for you kindly opinion. It was a real privilege to serve you at our restaurant.Thank you again and see you soonSincerly yoursmatteo & aura

I am proud to have organized my wedding in such nice place. We could not make a better choice. There is plenty of space both in summer and winter, the variety of first plate and meat contains all good and local preparation. Do not forget to try the 'crostini misti' and 'poker of primi piatti', you will enjoy it. The selection of wines is also large and comfortable. You will spend time in choosing among all the 'Sangiovese' available! The location is quite close to both Castrocaro and Forli', so you can combine it with a visit to the towns.I basically keep going to this restaurant when I want to invite some new people in the area or celebrating new events.

Firstly the staff here were all excellent and welcoming. The food itself was " like nonna used to make", high quality authentic Italian packed full of flavour. Go for the antipasti mixed board to start! The location is a bit out of Forli itself on a hill, with an amazing view, nestled among the wine yards and olive groves. The prices were great too, local prices which was refreshing for travellers. Come here hungry!

This is a typical Restaurant in the old city center of Castrocaro Terme. Entering the restaurant you feel like going back into the past. You are greeted by a very fliendly and incredibly efficient young lady, Alessia, who seems to remeber your food preference time after time. The restaurant is an ancient cellar, decorated in a typical Italian osteria type. The food is very good and an excellent value. Menu selection is ample with specials of the day. Not to be missed if you are in the area. On week ends reservation is recommended as it is a popular restaurant in the area.

The quality of everything I ate was very good.If you go for a pizza, I would certainly recommend the upgrade to a 7 cereals flour, something I had never tasted before. Service is at good level and quantities are consistent. Price is reasonable for what you get. If you have kids, there's a playing area in the private garden.

3 weeks ago i came here with my boyfriend. We decided to eat crostini, and my favourite spaghetti with seafood. We wanted to try real italian cuisine and we were very surprised. The food was very tasty and it was clear that the staff put a lot of work in providing us with real food and a pleasant stay. We remembered really nice atmosphere, great food, and a cultural staff. I must admit, that the chef has an enormous passion. I really recommend. :)
