Jardines De La Reina

Situated on the Caribbean, the Gardens of the Queen consist of a vast area with countless islands, reefs, beaches and flats forming a large archipelago of about 200 km long. Over 400 km separate Habana from Jucaro, the harbor with access to the fishing areas. All the sport-fishing species abound in the Gardens of the Queen: bonefish, permit, tarpon, snook, jack Crevalle, barracuda, snapper, etc.

Cayo Saetia Island

Reviewed By kathyhayward3 - Victoria Harbour, Canada

This island has amazing beaches with interesting shells. The surf was up the day we were there and it was great to watch the waves crash and splash high off the rocks. The food for lunch was very good. But the safari was the best. I didn't think we would really see many animals - boy! was I wrong! There are at least 3 different kinds of antelope, tiny deer, zebras, water buffalo, and even ostriches! They are all healthy looking and have great grazing areas. There were lots of all of them. The ride was rough in the truck so bring something to sit on.

We took a hobbie cat over to the island from Playa Pilar for $20 CUC each. This included return transportation and lunch with 2 drinks. Great meal and the staff were very nice. The island is beautiful with pine trees, hermit crabs and beautiful sandy beaches. Nice side excursion for an afternoon.

Cayo Santa Maria

I just returned from my 5th stay at Ocean Casa Del Mar in the breath-takingly Beautiful Cayo Santa Maria. Top notch service was provided by my butler Arley. He was always there to help with any request. In the Buffet Leo, Leidy & Willan were awesome. I also enjoyed the food in the Privilege Restaurant as well as the Blue Moon A La Carte. The best part of my vacation was enjoying the Animation team led by Big Dani. The entire team is good, but it is Dani who has the most ambition and really puts the most effort into seeing that you enjoy your stay. He engages with everyone and his smile and spirit is infectious. Ocean Casa is very lucky to have such highly respected workers as Dani who really seem to care about their job and all hotel guests.

Cayo Iguana

We took a day trip from Trinidad and it was one of the highlights of the holiday. There are iguanas everywhere, so plenty of photo opportunities, along with cute little tree rats who were particularly friendly, funnily enough, during lunch! The beach is breathtakingly beautiful and peaceful. If you’ve got a day to spare, you should definitely head here.

Cayo Levisa

Reviewed By S6027VHmarias - Canberra, Australia

We bought a ticket to ape d the day at Cayo Levisa from the tourist shop in Vinales. It was 35 CUC person. It included an hours bus ride each way through the Vinales Valley to the ferry at Palma Rubia, a 35 min ferry ride to Cayo Levisa (I like other Cuban keys there is no road to the Cayo), use of the hotel's facilities (including toilets, restaurant, bar, lounge chairs and umbrellas on the beach etc) and a sandwich in the restaurant. It was a super relaxing day. We peacefully swam in the sapphire waters, walked along the white sand and lounged under the shade by coconut trees, cooled by the gentle sea breeze. We got back to Vinales at 6:30pm relaxed and recharged. Highly recommended.

Come here to see how Cuba was about fifty years ago! Veranda-houses, few restaurants and a lot of flowers! You have to take the ferry from the mainland.
