BEST HOTEL IN CHINA SO FAR!
Reviewed By Simone WI really can't recommend this hotel more. The price was excellent at AUS$35 (including an excellent breakfast) for a beautiful, clean, double room with en-suite bathroom. The location was perfect, right at the landmark bridge, and the service was extraordinary - the staff were very pleasant and helpful, even with limited English - cell phone translators were at the ready at all times :), and we really enjoyed our time there. In fact we are going back again next weekend - for a longer stay! Ya'an is a great city to wander through over the weekend - along the river on both sides. On one side, the locals enjoying card games and other inscrutable Chinese games, or just enjoying each other's company. Along another stretch, hotpot restaurants abounded making the choice difficult but we found a great one for a fabulous meal! On another stretch - bars and clubs and louder, perhaps more modern, restaurants with lights and young people (and older) enjoying the nightlife. Wandering in the area around the hotel was also a delight, as was our foray to the Mengding Mountain on the Sunday for tea-picking and tasting. We simply took a local mini-van (for CNY8 per person) up to the mountain and wandered around and into the tea gardens - lovely! Looking forward to going back to the hotel and the area. NOTE: We will book a room at the back of the hotel again. Although I'm not sure about noise from the road nearby and while a river view might be nice, whenever possible distance from the china-hooting is preferrable ;)

Very friendly staff, clean and nice surprise
Reviewed By Laura SFrom the outside of the building and the lobby, it doesn't look like a particularly good hotel. The building is shared between the hotel and various offices. However the rooms are surprisingly good. They are clean, with all basic amenities. My room faced towards the river. This hotel is the first tea themed hotel in China. The room has tea blocks in it to give it that nice, relaxing tea smell. I never tested the staff's english but they did't leave me wanting much. The housekeeping was fine. The restaurant was good. Food was all chinese-style, including breakfast. The free wifi is a router per room so there's no other traffic clogging up your line.

Reviewed By bcmatrixmanWe have seen their good reviews here on TA, but can never Google their hotel, and they don't use agencies like Expedia, CTrip or Agoda. I can't book them while I was in my home country. While in China, I came across their web site: http://www.yayuduhotel.com/ The front desk are mostly staffed by young, polite and patient personnel, very professional, always a smile when answering questions & giving directions. However, none of them can speak English. They do accept major credit cards, but none of my cards would go through their bank. I guess they are not affiliated with Interac, Cirrus and the like. They also need 50% of the hotel cost as deposit. My 3 days cost Y$1,080 and I need to hand over Y$1,500. I don't have that kind of Y$ in my pocket, but they sent a front desk staff to walk me over to the nearby Bank of China to exchange cash. By China customer service standards, this is exceptional, most Chinese hotel staffs would not even want to make eye contact with you to avoid work. Unlike hotels in Major cities (Beijing, Shanghai), their hotel do not offer currency exchange services. The hotel is nice & clean, comparable to a western standard 3 star hotel. Free breakfast is mostly Sichuan fares, do not expect Bacon & Eggs. The trendy district is on the other side of the river. However you can walk to the LD bus station, and a short walk to the Bridge market and the trendy district. Taxi starts with Y$3, and pedicabs (3 wheelers) are everywhere. No different from other parts of China, the crooks are the street vendors/ taxi / pedicabs. Always ask for the cost before committing. I walked off a LD bus station, and too tired to walk the 1 km back to the hotel. A pedicab driver want Y$20 to go the 1 km, which should be like Y$4 by taxi or pedicab. I laughed and gave Y$4 to the pedicab driver next to him to go back to the hotel.

The hotel is simple, clean and modern - rooms offer enough space and have a small seating area to relax in. The friendly and very helpful staff made minor improvements at the hotel needed redundant - they helped us with organising a lot of things and even made great vegetarian dishes! Special thanks to Sam who was a great person to help us with any questions. The hotel has a washing machine on the rooftop which is free of charge to use - on top a small selection of wines ( white wine from chile was good!) and a beer selection. In case you need a transportation they can help you organise a reliable driver We would stay here again!

去雅安一定要住这家酒店
Reviewed By Mickey_yyu国庆前夕自驾去了川西小小环线，路过雅安，无意中得知这里也有瓦舍的分店，而且还是新开的！价格非常合理，于是速速订了一晚。有很多小惊喜，房间格调清新自然，有不同的房型可以选择，我们被升级到了有浴缸的房间，很大很明亮，特别是在爬山后，能泡个澡，是多么美的一件事。房间的细节也不错，大堂的设计也很温馨，如果你是和三五好友一同出游，在大堂无论是吃饭还是饮酒，都是很cozy的。特别推荐一下他们的一个特调鸡尾酒，里面还有配茶，很不错。因为很喜欢那里的房间，所以和老公决定再续住一晚。出游也很方便，因为酒店里G5高速很近很近，酒店还能看到蒙顶山，也是一个景点。 如果下次再路过雅安，一定还会去。
