Nice Place for Your Trip to Wuyi Mountain

We stayed in this resort for two nights during our summer trip to Fujian province in the end of July. Since there was no any hotel within walking distance to the Wuyi Mountain National Park, my expectation for a hotel was : 1. near the park so that we could came back for lunch; and 2: with many choices for dining. And I must say that I made the right decision for choosing C&D Resort. The location was GREAT. It was close to the park, the Dahongpao theater and surrounded by many nice restaurants. This was in fact very important factor. Because you would not find any restaurant in the park and it was very convenient to go back to the hotel for lunch and then went back to the park again in the afternoon. From the balcony of the hotel, you could see the famous Dawang Peak. The hardware of the hotel was not actually 5 star, but better than most of 4 star hotel. The room was not as spacious as most of resorts, rather it was more like business hotels. Bur service was 5 star standard and making your stay very comfortable. The food was definitely five star standard, both the breakfast and the buffet dinner. However the service at the restaurant was a little chaos in high season. I would choose the resort again if we went to Wuyishan in future.

Reviewed By musafir163My family and I spent one night at the Wuyi Mountain Villa in beautiful Wuyishan in June 2018. The staff, most of whom spoke little English, were all courteous, helpful, and professional. The room was beautifully done in cool, calming almond white with dark wood floors and closets, and light wood window frames. We had a small balcony, which was nice too. The property itself is beautifully landscaped with a delightful garden, offering stunning views of the Wuyi mountains. Former Queen Beatrice of the Netherlands even stayed here back in the 80s or early 90s. We had a decent dinner, but breakfast was superb, especially the fried, round dough with spicy chutney. A beautiful resort and a beautiful place. Wuyishan, with its stunning vistas and idyllic tea fields, is class southern China. One thing though is that one or two spots on one of the exterior walls could have used a bit of paint. Also, Wuyishan is stiflingly hot during summer, so bring plenty of water and avoid walking in the sunlight.

Two night stay for business, hotel is getting worn out
Reviewed By Bang XStayed here for two nights for a business trip. It is a huge hotel with a lot of guests but the things are getting dated. The rooms are quite big and clean but is in due of a renovation. The scenery is amazing and the people are friendly. Breakfast is mostly Asian.

Wonderfully cost stay
Reviewed By munyeet2016We stayed for two nights with 3 kids. The hotel staff are very friendly to the kids, and helpful with our questions. The rooms were warm and cosy, and the small details made the stay feel like a home away from home. There is a balcony with the mountains as a backdrop, where our family was able to enjoy tea and bread in the afternoon. The location is great, as we were situated in the ancient street neighbourhood.

Great stay
Reviewed By htvgWe stayed here for 3 nights during a visit to the mountains. The hotel was very nice, staff were super kind and very helpful and what they lacked in English, they more than made up with attentiveness. We had one lunch, 3 breakfasts and the hot-pot buffet. All excellent. Lots of choices of both Asian and western foods. Rooms were spacious, clean and very comfortable. We had two rooms and one had the garden view, which was spectacular in the morning and evening sunrise and set (pictures). All in all, an excellent stay and excellent staff. Thank you!!

Cosy and Beautiful Hotel
Reviewed By Peggy TWent to Wuyishan with my mom. We stsyed in Wangfeng Garden. It is really beautiful with garden, pond, fruit trees and back-drop if the scenic mountain. The hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and professional. We love the authentic Hokkien breakfadt that we had there. From our place, we can easiky walk to the city centre and the leisure path facing the mountain.

Class and style
Reviewed By JadedJetsetStylish, classy, modern “design hotel” in an area that seems plagued by tacky tasteless tourist dungeons. This is a cool place by any standard, Scandinavian design meets Chinese cool. Great location near Wuyishan Scenic Area, plus you can get bicycles (part of Room price) to explore the nice paved bike path along the adjacent river with great mountain views. As a westerner, and the only one in the area during my 72 hours there, I was particularly grateful for the help of Colin, the manager who spoke great English (only one on staff) and Made the whole stay amazing. Despite his overzealousness for me to write a review here, it is a well-deserved review nonetheless. If you are in Wuyishan and care about style and service, this is the place.

Reviewed By ylau01Room: Huge, clean, full amenities, free bottle drinking water. Free wifi. But the toilet smell after each flush.... Location: 10 mins to Wu Yi Shan south gate, 30 mins walk to watch Impression DaHongPao Show, Mcdonald's just opposite, two block away is the bus station for K1 bus to/from Wu Yi Shan South Train station (30 mins) cost RMB 10 & bus no 7 to Wu Yi Shan North Train station (50 mins) cost RMB 3. Food: Huge buffet breakfast but mainly local chinese dishes. However the chinese restaurant food is good (ask for less oil & salt). Service : need a lot of improvement. That is why i'm giving this property Average. My credit card was charged three times for a three nights stay instead of two. Spend approximately CNY 250 on my phone bill to call my bank back home... Black taxi driver waiting outside the hotel etc... The service is just not up to standard.

Very welcoming and exceptional value for money
Reviewed By Joe PI cannot recommend this hotel strongly enough. What makes this hotel stand out is how friendly and helpful the owner and family are. He speaks great English and he is a very welcoming and genuine man who went out of his way to make our trip to Wuyishan a great one. Not only did he help us make a detailed plan for visiting the park (3 days is perfect by the way), he even took us to the North Entrance on the first day. Location-wise it's very close to the airport, North Park Entrance and not too far from Wuyishan North train station. Restaurants serving nice, simple Fujian food are 5 minutes walk away, or if you fancy something different you can get the bus to the town centre in about 20 minutes. East train station is quite far away, but there's a shuttle bus you can take, or a taxi costs around 100RMB. I see some people have criticised the décor slightly but the hotel has been renovated recently so our room was modern and spotless, the shower was amazing! All in all, an amazing experience and great value for money!
