A dance holiday

Reviewed By Barry U

This was a three day dance holiday organised by our dance teachers and our third visit my wife and I have made to this hotel - the first since lock-down. The Abbey Hotel is a beautiful old building, our room was comfortable, nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. The staff are polite, friendly and very helpful. Malvern is situated on a steep hill, and there are many stair cases to climb in the hotel, there is a lift which can be used. From past experience we have learned that there is access available from the ground floor - have a word with a member of staff. All in all, this is a lovely hotel and we would stay there again!

The Admiral Rodney

Set in stunning Worcestershire countryside with great views towards Worcester and the Cotswold Hills beyond, The Admiral Rodney at Berrow Green is a classic Worcestershire country inn. After extensive refurbishment in 2018 we now offer 6 luxury en-suite bedrooms (most with great country views), two bars and a 60 seat restaurant. Our food is already getting great reviews. It's focused on fresh, local produce and constantly changes, offering a great selection from pub classics to more extravagant dishes. We have a great selection of real ales and ciders, as well as an extensive and eclectic wine list.

Lovely value for money stay

Reviewed By Anne M

Stayed here one night at the end of May on a bed and breakfast basis. Enjoyed our stay, check in was easy, room very good size and really comfortable with spacious en suite. Ate here the night we arrived, order taken promptly and we were served our food quickly and enjoyed it. Breakfast the following morning was good, as was staff service. Only fault for me was pillows far too soft and I’d bought my own which I was glad for.

Bank Holiday Stopover

I have to give top marks to the staff at this hotel who dealt with an awful situation very well. Myself and my husband were in the local area visiting friends for the Platinum Jubilee celebrations. We arrived at the hotel receiving a friendly welcome, our room was beautifully clean and everything was great. The following morning we noticed we had no hot water. My husband spoke with Nancy on reception who sincerely apologised for the inconvenience, she explained the situation and ensured the issue would be resolved ASAP. She was very professional in what was a very stressful situation. Please can you pass on my acknowledgement, many thanks. We will be returning in the near future ?

Premier Inn Kidderminster hotel

This hotel is a great base to explore Kidderminster and the Worcestershire countryside - and we're close to West Midlands Safari Park and Severn Valley Railways too. The building is a grade II listed converted mill, with a bar that has an almost New York loft atmosphere. Let off steam going for a country walk. Or enjoy the power of steam at Severn Valley Railway Museum. Eplore 1000 years of history at Hartlebury Castle. Or make a detour through the animal magic of the West Midlands Safari Park. Then it's time for some serious relaxing with our extra-comfy beds and The Kitchen restaurant.

Leisure Trip

It's our second time staying in this particular hotel - mainly due to its location. Always a comfortable stay, clean and tidy rooms with no hassle or disturbance. A good hearty breakfast in the morning (although, beware of the female cook with a slightly short fuse - she was pretty rude on a couple of occasions) Other than that, an enjoyable stay!

Spa break & meal

Reviewed By BGrace30

Visited here having booked a spa break and overnight stay. The spa isn’t really a full spa but a treatment room, outdoor hot tub and an inside sauna, there is no pool or place to leisure once you have finished your spa day. There is a small relaxation room but this could fit 4 guests in at one time at best. That being said, the treatments at the spa were excellent- we all had massages and found them very good. The hotel itself is quite dated and we often found it unclean in places, cobwebs etc. We were disappointed there was no lunch menu available in the day only sandwiches which were pricey for what they were. Service also wasn’t the best. The evening meal however was delicious and couldn’t be faulted, plenty of choice and good value for money. Overall would eat here again but would be reluctant to call this a true spa day.

Great Jubilee Bank Holiday stay

Reviewed By Hellcat66

Great family stay at Stourport Manor over the Jubilee Bank Holiday. Staff lovely, polite and helpful, particularly on reception. Enjoyed a swim (pre-book), pool is 1.2m depth throughout so great for my 8 yr old who can swim but doesn’t like being out of his depth as he could stand up wherever he was in the pool. There’s also a small toddler pool, steam room, sauna and jacuzzi. Room was comfy, clean and relatively quiet despite there being many families with young children staying. Good hot powerful shower. We walked to the Rock Tavern pub for dinner and drinks which we’d recommend (10 mins walk). The only constructive criticism we’d have is to consider offering breakfast at weekend hours on bank holidays as it was so busy with everyone needing to get in by 9.30am. Staff did their best to keep up with replenishment but it was a bit of a struggle. Otherwise highly recommended and we would return.

A great stay

Reviewed By AudreyL73

I was really impressed with the staff at this Premier Inn. Before we arrived we had had a phone call to check when we would like breakfast reservations, and if we wanted any dinner reservations. The Reception staff were all friendly, helpful and efficient. There is a large, free, car park. The Covid-19 procedures were excellent and I felt reassured that the staff were taking health and safety seriously. Wifi access was slow and mobile phone signals were very iffy but this was pointed out on the website so we did expect it. The hotel is really close (just a few minutes walk) from a number of shops. Whilst Premier Inn is a nationwide chain, I think the staff at this hotel went above and beyond and really made our break even better.

Stop over on the way to the north

Reviewed By K8877POcarolinet

Wanted to break a trip from Cornwall to Darlington so wanted somewhere approximately half way that was close to the motorway. Wanted somewhere clean & comfortable. Location was ideal. Bed was comfy. Staff at reception were friendly. The bedroom was clean & ok. The bathroom looked tired & needed a bit of a makeover. Although the key things ie toilet, sink & shower were clean, behind the door needed a wipe along with some marks on the wall. The price was good & would stay again. You do need to close the bathroom door when showering, (there are signs asking you to), otherwise the fire alarm is activated. Someone in the hotel ignored this & it went off early in the morning. Not the hotels fault but was inconvenient to other guests who were using the bathroom at the same time!
