Fantastic hotel in Wenshan
Reviewed By Wanderer816890If you have a reason to come to Wenshan, and are not a backpacker, this is where you want to stay. Jin Jiang Hotels, a Shanghai-based state-owned company, claims this is a 5 star hotel and I strongly agree. Before I continue my description, I must say that rooms are positively inexpensive. A normal room is cheaper than anything clean in the US. However, we stayed in a giant room with a view and a wonderful bathroom and a walk-in closet for less than what we paid in Omaha for a standard room. Ok, now, what is it like? The white sheets, fluffy towels and general cleanliness are beyond criticism. The (included) buffet breakfast encompasses 3 rooms (and you won’t get sick). The food in the Chinese restaurant is as good as I had in Hong Kong and cheaper than Chicago’s Chinatown dives. The hotel laundry was quick, well done and reasonably priced. There is a very nice swimming pool and hot tub. Wenshan is not a tourist destination but it does have a civic life. Government officials and entrepreneurs throw parties at this hotel. I saw a 90th birthday with over 600 guests and a first birthday with a few hundred (only). Ultimately, the question is not whether you would rather stay here than Paris (at 10 times the price), but whether your life’s path will ever bring you to this part of Yunnan, China.

Decent place to stay
Reviewed By 555Travelbug555The room was clean. The beds are very hard, but probably ok for Chinese. Linens are clean. There is an in room safe. The shower leaked water on to the floor with every shower. The AC worked very well. Bottled water in the room. Thick toilet paper was nice. Towels were nice and clean. Free wifi Breakfast was decent, but not exceptional. There were noodles that were pretty good. The in room booklet says there is laundry. There is not. Front desk does not speak English.

Reviewed By Naeem ZKai li is one of the best options if you want to enjoy luxury with economy. You can get a twin bed at 70 usd. Cleanliness was very good. Staff knows English. It won't take you more than 3 minutes to check in if you have prior booking on hotel booking sites. They really honour your booking. Regular prices are higher than hotel booking sites. A complementary entry to swimming pool every 4th day. You will find guomou busy the whole night. Maybe the only place which wakes till 4 am. Although I found grocery store open in whole shenzhen till 4 am and somewhere 24 hours too. For muslims one can find restaurants nearby some chinese muslim and some indian where you can find vegetarian also. You'll find sea food alive in whole shenzhen. Guomou metro station is also near the hotel. Shenzhen metro is the fastest and cheapest to move inside shenzhen and its far districts like longcheng end of longgang. Guomou is not very much suitable if you want to go to exhibition center or Seg electronic market, the heart of shenzhen. Shenzhen is the 3rd most expensive city of china.
