Corona vacation
Reviewed By derekkotaraWe went to the wellness resort because we canceled our original traveling plans due the Corona virus situation. Friends recommends the place. We booked it online and on the phone very fast. We got super informations on the phone. Unfortunately it was only one room left. The hotel was fully booked. We drove from Zurich almost 5 hours. Its far for us but the place is really good. And the long drive was any CHF worth! Our room was excellent, super clean and modern designed. The only negative one for us, was the bed to soft!!! Well! The wellness are was super! Lot of naked areas what we really like it. Even we would like to have more of it! The food and restaurant was really good. Service and everything around was good. Even because of Corona, we just booked another stay in the next 3 months. Hope are next stay is going to be good as well. Place to recommend to stay!

A wonderful hotel in a wonderful setting!
Reviewed By Marlene BWe have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and have always enjoyed our visit. The owners and staff are extremely friendly and go out of their way to make us feel at home. The rooms are well furnished and spacious and have wonderful mountain views. The food is excellent. The breakfasts are huge with a vast choice of both sweet and savoury foods and beverages. The dinner is always of the highest quality and, on the rare occasion one does not like the proposed menu, the Chef is always happy to prepare alternatives. In addition, the spa is an excellent way of unwinding after a day's walk and there is ample parking, much underground. We cannot recommend this hotel more highly! We will visit again next year and look forward to renewing our acquantance with Giovanni, his family and staff!

Reviewed By emanuelap488We booked the hotel two days before questioning every details due to the COVID restrictions.Our expectations have been highly exceeded , especially given our high standards requested.The hotel is in its integrity wonderful , not even talking about cleaning and staff professionalism . Food is at very high level, much better than some Michelin stars appointed restaurants. Close to the slopes, really well equipped for adults and kids. I truly recommend it.

Reviewed By KunnonnyWe as a frequent joint holiday trip group of 8 persons selected Alpin Royal for our June 2022 trip, as this 4 star superior hotel's offer appeared to be a good bet for value for money at very attractive price, based on comparison of descriptions we could find at several hotel websites. And what a great selection it turned out to be and how happy we were with our selection of the hotel! Friendly and very helpful staff, good quality food, spacious room with good quality room facilities, good wellness facilities and above all, the rare combination of all these at a very reasonable price. Together with the bonus of the highly attractive and enjoyable mountainous nature of the Ahrnthal. We had a thoroughly pleasant time at Alpin Royal. We really hope we will find another occasion to come back!

Reviewed By FRHOSEThe hotel is centrally located in Steinhaus with only 10 min walk to the Klausberg cable car which is a very nice area for hiking. The rooms offer good 3-star standard, are clean and modern. We enjoyed half board and the price/performance is excellent; food quality is very good, plenteous, nice choices and a fine salad buffet. The owner family is very friendly and service oriented. Anything negative? Maybe that you feel a bit stressed when you have your breakfast or dinner; the staff is rushed, they start clear the tables before everyone is ready and they are a bit difficult to charm... :-)

Fabulous hotel
Reviewed By Koen67Hotel that deserves each of its 5 stars. Great service, fantastic food, great room (we got an upgrade to a suite) and a very nice wellness and pool area. This is one of these hotels that one keeps remembering, and although we do not have the habit of returning to places where we have stayed, we may make an excepting for this one. If there is one remark I could make, it is that offering three coffee pads for your entire stay is a bit of a poor policy (you can receive more at 1,5 Euro per piece). But that is the only remark I can make ; the rest was really flawless. A nice plus was the tea + cake in the afternoon as part of the half board formula.

Not as good as expected
Reviewed By B7562FEroberttFor South Tyrol this hotel that wasn't up to the high standards of others in the region. The bedroom was in need of modernisation although the bathroom had been renovated. The pool area and sauna were good although more maintenance of the pool would have been useful. There was a smell of mould. The garden wasn't well maintained and furniture not cleaned. Food was acceptable and no more. The bar was not fully staffed all the time. In summary, no more than 3 stars and in need of investment.
