Extremely disappointed in so many ways.. terrible service and amenities
Reviewed By 837sarmaddThe hotel has good architecture but is extremely old. The pool is basically below the lobby, very little privacy. We stayed at a junior suite, the light in bath room didn't work.. bed sheets had smell of humidity.. the door of the bathroom would open or close properly, something to do with wood expanding. The furniture at the hotel is definitely out dated. Definitely expecting more at a suite level. Hotel elevator wasn't working so we had to walk with our 4yr and 2yr old.. The M Loung was not in service so the family had snacks at the restaurant. We waited around 15 minutes to get bean and cheese quedadillas! There were only 3 tables full at the restaurant. The folks sitting next to us had gotten minimum 2 or max 4 orders in the mean time. Many things can be tolerated at the hotel but poor service at the "best" hotel in tuxlta, i think not. Next time we will check out the hilton. Wish us luck, weve only been here for 5 hours.

Lovely hotel but no service unless you are a generous tip payer or a local guest
Reviewed By AvidTravellerWWHotel is a nice property with lovely Reception staff.. it has all the good things that you expect from a modern hotel : good internet , air con, in room safe and a coffee maker… ok my only issue with this hotel is service received by waiters and housekeepers .., breakfast was included but on the first day waiter mentioned we cannot have all breakfast , there is a separate buffet, which we were not allowed to touch despite the breakfast room was very quiet each morning. If you don’t leave a tip despite this being a self service, they simply don’t want to know . I would gladly help myself to a coffee if they leave the pot … I ended up serving myself . They had pineapple every morning which I loved … but not on the last day . I had to ask for it as I don’t like the rest of the fruit - this was accommodated but should have been there as service is inconsistent… So frustrating as this is a well known brand and we were trying to be polite , respectful and used our translator to speak in Spanish . Same story with housekeeping- no adequate replenishments of amenities ( we are 2 people , they left water, coffee for 1 person , no replenishment of shampoo). Hotel management should pay their staff good enough wage not to treat customers like dirt - tips are for service that is above and beyond what is considered normal - not for cleaning the room or serving my own food ! I tip generously when appropriate, not for basic stuff that comes as a rule - what’s next , no air con unless you tip an engineer????

A good place to relax in

We were able to check in at 6 am and were provided with an excellent room near the top of the hotel. You are provided with one free bottle of water but there are others alongside, which are expensive! So, buy your own after you have drunk the free water. Breakfast is excellent in a bright, airy room on the ground floor. We spent our day in and around the hotel to recover from the long bus journey. The pool area is relaxing and was quiet when we were there. You can walk to a large shopping mall in around 15 minutes and there are plenty of convenience stores in the immediate locality.

Nice, clean, simple oasis
Reviewed By mexikidsMy wife and I stayed here for 4 days and nights and it was a perfect spot to sleep and even to work. The place is clean and has pretty much everything you might need (all cotton bedding, free bottled water each day, continental breakfast with great fruit, and they even included iron and ironing board). The breakfast area is attractive and outside by the pool but well covered. We enjoyed working a bit in the morning from that spot. The hotel is 200 yards walking distance from a delightful tree-filled park that is excellent for exercise.

Cheap and clean
Reviewed By JolisciousFor 216 pesos for a non AC double we thought it was pretty okay if you are passing through, wouldn't reccomend a much longer stay though.. Clean and well looked after. Bathroom was fine. Negatives: Hard beds and old pillows. Rooms are quite noisy so we didn't sleep well, especially when the maid who keeps everything clean as a whistle started working at 5:45am!
