Reviewed By johncW1199UHWe checked into the Hotel just 1.4km from Taishan Number 1 Middle School our main destination. Visiting for the 110th anniversary of the school. Hotel Gaoye offers excellent rooms, great tariff and terrific service. The photo is the front desk on our arrival.

Reviewed By Wonton88A beautiful resort in the middle of agricultural land. It has many hot pools, wave pool, fish tanks that nibble your feet. The group tour had banquets and meals in a separate building with lots of selection for the early breakfasts. The rooms were nicely equipped.

The room was spacious and nice with a view of the river. They were reluctant to let me put down HKD as a deposit, but let me do it after I insisted.

Modern and spacious but poor upkeep
Reviewed By Fefe FMy family, my sister's family and my parents stayed in 4 rooms of the hotel for 2 weeks. My sister had stayed at this hotel a couple years ago when she visited, and says that it was much nicer back then. The rooms had mini fridges and safes for valuables back then, and when we arrived, neither were provided. When we inquired, they said that there should be and sent workers to install the fridges but only provided a safe for 1 out of the 4 rooms. They explained that they were under new management now. You can tell that the hotel used to be nice, but they have not kept good care of it. The wallpaper is peeling off the walls in all the rooms and the hallways. Our door was very stiff and often stuck. Our faucet in the washroom was also very stiff and only had two settings, off or full blast. There were sticky stains on the floors. At first I thought that they hadn't mopped before we got there, but the stains were still there even after they mopped each day The workers who cleaned our rooms were nice and replenished anything we needed and were quite accommodating. The restaurants on the 1st and 2nd floors were quite nice with good prices, but lacked in customer service. We ate there almost every day and always reserved a private room. Twice they lost our reservation or had a mix up (they were super busy with wedding banquets) and we didn't get our private rooms. Our last day, upon checking out, it look them a very long time, almost 40 minutes to check us out. Also they said that our room was missing a tea mug (which my husband had brought down to the restaurants one morning) and charged 10 RBM. It was our fault, but it just seemed a bit petty. Check out took a long time and we had our driver waiting a long time as a result. Thankfully, we planned extra time to get to the airport. Overall our stay was pleasant, but customer service is nowhere close to what we would see in America/Canada.

Reviewed By 落榜进士台山黄金海岸旅游度假酒店在台山赤溪镇应该算是非常好的酒店了，如果是团购的话只需要239就可以预定到原价为720元的海景大床房，非常实惠。酒店附近就是著名的海滩黑沙湾，环境非常好。 是在网站上提前预定的酒店，往酒店打了预定电话，并提供了验证码，服务员很热情，说房间保留到18点，但是因为有事去晚了，但房间还是一直保留到了入住，在酒店门口就有显著的标志，楼下就是可以免费停车的地方，在晚上，房间打开窗户就能感受到凉爽的海风。酒店还有一个很大的露天平台，可以在那里聊天晒太阳，还有沙地和游泳池等娱乐设施。
