If you're tired from driving and need a sleep they will look after you

Our first day of honeymoon and it was after 1am I was tired of driving and so we stopped off a at travel lodge (don't bother) just a number to ring to a guy in an office saying that they were fully booked and then asked where we were how could he know he was fully booked when he didn't even know where we were so a Google search to get a bed for the night and the premier Inn less then 15 minutes down the road. Might have well been a million miles there was a man there that let me Inn and said he had 1 room but it was a bit pricier but all they had then found out I was just married he offered to make us a brew which when been on the road for a while was music to my ears my wife (still strange to say) had tea and me a water and we wasn't charged for them he told me that since it was after midnight it was taken off line so we had time to think about it over our drinks so all the pressure was taken off we got the room they included our breakfast and didn't charge us (hope this doest get them into trouble) and both of them were so friendly. All this showeds when you work in hospitality it inst any big thing you can do but any little thing and to us an offer of a drink was huge so drive less then 15 minutes down the road because it was well worth it the night staff know how to take care of drivers who are tired, Glyn and Aaron have gave the perfect end to the first day of the rest of my life thank you both so much keep up the great job you do both m and my wife will never forget it ?

We stayed for 3 nights at the Premier travel Inn at Trentham Gardens. When I booked I asked for a room on the ground floor as my husband is disabled and they didn't disappoint. Checking in was easy and very efficiently done. We opted for a meal in the restaurant and we were very pleased with the portions and the price. The hotel is pleasantly located near to the garden centre and the shopping village. The staff are extremely friendly, hard working and efficient. There is an added bonus of free WiFi,also very useful.

Amazing!

Last June my daughter got married and due to restrictions we could only have 30 guests. The Upper House were fantastic and made the day very special. As the wedding wasn't the one the couple had originally planned we had a further celebration last week with all the missing family and friends and once again the Upper House pulled out all the stops. The grounds, the food and the staff were all wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. They arranged a lovely breakfast for all the guests who stayed the following morning and the quality of the food again was very high. The bedrooms were perfect, clean and had everything you needed, including plenty of tea, coffee and bottled water. As several guests are coeliac and require a strict gluten free diet we asked the venue to make the whole day gluten free which they did with no fuss at all, meaning the coeliac guests could eat without the worry of cross contamination. If you are looking for a wedding venue you need to look no further!

Booked an all inclusive stay for our anniversary. Hotel as expected from the reviews: modern, clean, spacious room and helpful staff. High light for us was the Six restaurant, Reberto and chefs (Daniel? & Joe?) were absolutely brilliant. The whole king prawns and the fillet steak were cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. They also treated us to a hand made "Happy Anniversary platter" with chocolate fudge cake and fresh strawberries dipped in chocolate. Brilliant work guys, well done and thank you so much.

So we have just checked in and it is cold so we attempted to turn on the heating. This is not currently switched on so we have been given an old electric heater. We are paying £315 for two nights and the heating is some old heater. I can feel the wind coming through the closed window. Not a great start.

Quirky but very noisy

Reviewed By Stoke P

We booked an apartment here for two nights as we were visiting Alton Towers. In a lot of ways I liked the place, but I am going to outline what I consider to be the good and bad points as this place will certainly not suit everybody. First the good points. It is a converted industrial building with a lot of character. The apartments are unusual, featuring two double bedrooms with en suite shower rooms, linked by a corridor kitchen. The kitchen has a small work surface for preparing food, an over, hob and microwave. Plates, bowls and cutlery are provided. There is a kettle, but no obvious place to plug it in without balancing it on stool which is not that safe if you have children around. The rooms are in a good state of repair. The showers have good water pressure, but the water came through rather too hot and adjusting the temperature control did not seem to make a difference. Rooms have a TV with netflix etc, and there is wi-fi. There was adequate parking available, and it was easy to find. It is also pretty cheap. Location is convenient, with Staffordshire university and Sainsburys withing walking distance. There is a bar and restaurant downstairs, which is really convenient although we did not try it out. Not so good points. When we arrived we found the room had not been prepared, bedclothes had not been changed and there were dirty towels laying around, and dirty crockery in the sink. However, this was soon resolved and we were given another room which had been prepared. The rooms do not have air conditioning, but really could do with it as I found it uncomfortably hot and stuffy. However, the worst thing about the place was how noisy it was as sound insulation is nowhere near adequate for somewhere above a bar. The first night was quite noisy by not too bad. The second night was dreadful as there was live music downstairs which was so loud that it actually drowned out the tv in our room. I can honestly say this is the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed in, and I would never have booked it if I had realised how bad it would be. So if you want somewhere quirky, conveniently located, at a reasonable price, and can tolerate the noise and lack of air con, this place is probably ideal. But if you plan to spend any time there in the evening and are looking for somewhere quiet, this is absolutely not the place.
