Reviewed By OlaicoHotel is centrally located . It is about half an hour from high speed train station with easy transportation to all local attractions. Major shopping centres are just around the corner within 1 km range. The hotel itself is clean and the staff are helpful to show us the directions and assisted us in booking car transportation for sightseeing.

No Frills Budget Hotel

As expected the hotel was budget hotel but nice and clean considering the price. check in was smooth. the staff could hardly speak any English but were cheerful and helpful. Would not mind staying here again.

A quite new hotel
Reviewed By Fanourios Lnot very expensive, a bit noise since my room is on road side (top floor already), no texi near around so please consider transportation arrangement, have computer in room it's considerate (two moe sub plug can use) if bathroom can be lighter it will be great.

Reviewed By avi98tanNear to eateries and restaurants within walking distance. Food is fresh and delicious . No need to ask the Chef not to add too much salt or cook with less oil. Near the hotel is a massage place which is clean with good packages. After a tired day, so wonderful to soak in a tub of ginger and enjoy the foot reflexology. This hotel was recommended by Chen Sifu , our driver cum guide . He can be contacted at 15918911263 via we chat . Can write to him in English, he will reply in Mandarin. He is flexible and allow changes to the itinerary.

The room was what you could expect from Sheraton. Food was below average, especially at breakfast (industrial and tasteless bread and pastries, no egg station).

Out of my expectations
Reviewed By Ben172211This is the first time I stayed in Shantou. Three rooms were booked and were offered on the block of “Venice” building. The room rates were at very reasonable plus buffet breakfast. The rooms were clean and tidy plus fruit and minor snacks. On finding one room with smell of cigarettes, the Staff immediate changed another room to the satisfaction. The rooms were not of the same sizes but adequate enough to accommodate for two persons sharing one room. Shower was installed in the bathroom and cold and hot water were good. All rooms did possess the required bathroom utilities. The buffet breakfast was of Chinese style but adequate for all to have a good breakfast for their onward travelling. The Hotel was centrally located and a good number of restaurants were available In the immediate vicinity for your choice. Attached to the hotel there was a massage service parlour but from what I had learnt from some participants, NOT recommended.

Uncomfortable pillow & messy hotel
Reviewed By maggariClean room but pillow was really uncomfortable as it was too flat. Level 7 & 8 of the hotel were KTV so personally I find it a little “messy” when we took the lift. I stayed at level 14 and I could hear the music from the KTV. Hotel breakfast spread is also not fantastic considering that it cost RMB 80 per pax.

Good location
Reviewed By ionutd941I spent only one night there, so I cannot review all amenities. Definitely a 5 star when was built, now I will rate it in the lower segment of 4*. It needs renovation fast, starting from carpets, bed linen to the bath accessories. Bad mattress is really hard, but surprisingly comfortable. Wifi works decent - no VPN preinstalled - so only china allowed apps. Breakfast is Chinese, however anyone can find something to eat. Coffee not so good. At -1 floor a good Chinese restaurant. At 5th floor an interesting KTV which you could enjoy.
