Marvelous a hidden gem!

During our summer holiday in Le March we spent 6 nights in this beautiful Country House. When we booked our holiday the country house did not have any reviews but what you see on the pictures is what you get. All rooms are really individually furbished with high quality finish and have their own theme. We booked the apartment because of the possibility to cook our own meal and the availability of both a fridge and a freezer. Breakfast is served in the big family kitchen and you can choose to join the family dinner table inside or take a private table. Whatever suits you best. When weather is good you can even choose to enjoy breakfast outside. We very much enjoyed the family dinner table where we had to chance to meet the other guests. We had nice conversations with the other guest during our stay. Breakfast is really extensive; we could choose between bread, cheese, sliced meat and fresh made cakes. There are also a variety of juices available and fresh coffee. We especially like the crostata. The cakes are made by Regina, the mother of the owner Paolo. She is a star class cook and she really made us feel welcome and the spoilt us with her breakfast. Every morning we were very much excited to go for breakfast!!! The best breakfast we had during our holiday and I am sure I gained some weight because of it. Outside there is a big swimming pool with a large pool house with toilets and a small kitchen where guests can use the fridge to cool your own drink. There are enough beds available for the guests and two outside showers. The pool is easily accessible and the water level get deeper at the end. It is suited for both small children and adults and the water quality is really good. During our stay we had some warm days and we enjoyed the weather temperature to cool down after a bike ride in the region. As an additional service Amico Country house also offer guests the opportunity to have dinner with the family prepared by Regina. Regina is a fantastic cook and we stayed in for dinner during 3 nights because the food was so good and Paolo and Regina are fantastic hosts. We learned a lot about Italian life and the region. This was for us a first class experience and something we will never forget. Regina speaks Italian only but Paolo can speak English very well. After a few days we could understand more and more Italian because we spent a lot of time with the family. Regina explained us she has 5 specialties so we need to go back for the two remaining dishes ;o). Regina's Pasta al Forno is delicious but also the Tagliatella and the ravioli tastes fantastic. During our last evening Regina made Tiramisu which was splendid, I just could not stop eating! The house is close to Serra San Quirico a lovely village with a historical city center with a beautiful church. Outside the historical city center you can find several groceries stores. Everything you need is close by. During our stay we visited the Grotte di Frasassi (6km from the country house) which were breathtaking. These caverns are one of the biggest in Europe and the guided tours are extremely informative and well executed. A tour will take you 1,5 hours but is worth a visit. By coincedence these caverns were discovered and immediately got on the UNESCO list after making them accessible for tourists. If you are a bit more adventurous you can also do a tour with helmets and lights. Some other towns we visited are Fabriano (Famous for Salami and paper mills) and Jesi well know for the Verdicchio wine). Speaking of wine, close to the Country House there is a winery that has a shop that sells excellent Verdicchi wines, but also the grappa is of high quality. We took the opportunity to bring some wine and grappa home and enjoyed it very much since then. Unfortunately the weather was unstable during our stay and we did not have the opportunity to enjoy the nice beaches south of Ancona and Parco del Conero but we will go there next time we visit Le Marche. Don't hesitate to book this Country House, you cannot get a better Price/Quality and as a bonus the cooking art of Regina! Niels de Lange & Ilona Oosterkamp

Tuttaterra B&B

A traditional country house of Marche, recently restored maintaining the integrity of the house by the use of a conservative restoration that our architects and we strongly wanted. The marvelous hills all around the house form the background where you can magically breathe rural (bucolic) atmospheres. The hayloft, the wood oven and everything complete the picture with a swimming pool.We have lived here for many years enjoying its use, that's why we decided to start a bed & breakfast. You can really spend well your time here, we are sure you will be completely satisfied so that you will advise this place to your friends. We love this land and we are proud of it. In few words, you are welcome!

A great place to stay

We stayed here two nights when visiting the Frassassi Caves. A very beautifully done up place in a peaceful location. The owner brought us fresh croissants and bread every morning. There is a fully equipped kitchen which you can use for lunch and dinner if you want to.

Agriturismo Le Querce

Beyond fabulous

Reviewed By Su W

Located around 40 minutes by car from sandy beaches and 15 minutes from the mountains and Frassasi Caves, Le Querce is situated on atop a hill, surrounded by fields where the cool breezes offered relief from the summer heat. There are many beautiful villages and towns to visit while staying there. Two supermarkets, a bar, a very good butcher are all reasonably close by. Our apartment, ROVERE, was spacious, airy and spotlessly clean., and the bed was really comfortable. The well-maintained swimming pool, surrounded by sunflowers, conveniently has a shower and bathroom adjacent to it. All these things combined made for a delightful visit to Le Marche, but we feel the secret of Le Querce's success are its owners, Mauro and Danielle. Their attention and warmth gave us the feeling that we were staying with long-lost relatives. I don't think it was a coincidence that everyone staying there were a delight to be with. We cannot recommend Le Querce highly enough and look forward to our next visit

Country House Le Grazie

The house is situated on a sunny hillside, in a quiet location, 100 metres from the road and surrounded by greenery. To the East and South are mulberry trees, "mori" in the local dialect, where our ancestors kept their apples. Their leaves were used to feed silkworms, common in the 1950s, but today the trees simply provide welcome shade on hot summer days. To the West there are ever-green olives, which frame the view of the village of Serra San Quirico - headquarters of the Natural Park 'Gola della Rossa e di Frasassi', which has gained the important qualification of 'Sustainable Tourism' from the Europarc Federation - in its characteristic shape of a ship, stretched along a spur of rock. To the North, in addition to the olives outside the boundary fence, we have a Normandy Pine which shelters the entry to the loggia. Around the house are a lawn and areas paved in stone, which have extended the original yard to create a pleasant, usable area even in mixed weather conditions. Tables made from old cartwheels, wooden and stone benches and a fountain make the area even more pleasant, ... A reminder of the old men of the past, their faces lined by the sun, for whom it was enough to have a jacket laid in the shade for a siesta after a hard day working in the fields.

Lovely

Reviewed By Damus71

Very nice country house, in an old, typical house recently restructured. Rooms are well equiped and pleasant to stay, the house location is excellent for many activities: relaxing, biking walks, visiting the Marche hills with all its interesting hamlets and attractions (Frasassi Caves al 7 km away only). Nice view on Serra San Quirico (that you can reach by feet also), an attraction itself. The house manager Gilberto will be glad to give you suggestions for visiting the surroundings. Absolutely recommended.
