Reviewed By makeson1504The host is really nice and friendly. The house is tidy and pretty new. We have good sleep at night. It is 15 walk to nearest train station and you need to take a train to Milan Centre. If you drive, it would not be the problem.

great hotel close to Linate airport
Reviewed By Matthias KVery nice location, all green around but in the middle of an housing estate with appartements; nice pond with turtles and kois; restaurants in walking distance, very friendly hotel staff, very clean and nicely renovated rooms; breakfast was 10 out of 10; unfortunately the aircon in the room was a bit too noisy and the hotel bar was closed due to shortage of staff; nevertheless a couple of bars are around in walking distance... Will definitely book and recommend this hotel!!!

Reviewed By abutler70Best hotel to stay at for Linate Airport due to the on demand shuttle service that only takes 5 minutes starting at 0500. We left expecting it to be busy at 0530 but were the only ones in the shuttle. Every staff member we met during our stay said hello and were all friendly. The room was nice. A clean heated bathroom. We had a Pizza in our room from the restaurant downstairs which was very tasty. We would definitely stay here again.

Friendly, helpful staff with a delicious breakfast every day
Reviewed By Becki FWe had some reservations about staying here at first, after reading the (really old) previous reviews on here - but it turned out our stay at the Riviera was almost faultless! The staff spoke okay English so it was relatively easy to make queries and they rang taxis for us with no problem at all. I was having a parcel delivered there during my stay and they collected it and kept it safe until I returned in the evening. Our rooms were absolutely fine for the price that we paid, with a safe, a shower, air-con, a minifridge and plenty of cupboards and drawers for storage. The only downside was that the free wifi was a bit patchy, and we dropped off it a few times, and we found it was much better down on the ground floor. The included breakfast was delicious every morning, with a selection of pastries, toast, meats and a variety of cereal. Plus the cappuchinos were absolutely brilliant! The location of the hotel was fine for Linate airport (a stone's throw away), but not so good if you wanted to look around Milan. We caught a train from nearby Segrate station and took that into the city centre (about 30-35 minutes ride on a very regular service). Overall my four friends and I enjoyed our five night stay at the Riviera and I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to stay close to the airport in future!

Reluctant staff
Reviewed By radaratorI had to cancel my stay due health reasons, I sent them medical report (of course in english) and asked them for another date of my stay or partial refund. Nothing happened, not possible. They dont reply to mail, I had to call them. No more BB hotels.

Pulizia mediocre
Reviewed By 485davidegSituato in una villa signorile all interno di un quartiere residenziale a pochi minuti da Linate. La casa è ben arredata anche con un certo gusto. In tale contesto il proprietario ha ricavato qualche stanza adibita a bed and breakfast. Ho provato la singola. Devo dire che pur essendo tutto sommato completa di tutto è stata una delusione. L aria condizionata praticamente inesistente non raffredda e la temperatura esterna era in questi giorni di 38 gradi... La camera, completa di tutto risultava purtroppo essere piuttosto sporca e maltenuta con polvere praticamente ovunque su mobili e pavimento. Stessa cosa dicasi del bagno dove aleggiava anche qui polvere ovunque. Colazione self service ridicola, neppure la macchina del caffè funzionante. In conclusione parecchie cose da rivedere soprattutto sul versante igiene.

Unable to Check-In and Refusal to Refund Money
Reviewed By rachdurhamI do not recommend booking at this hotel. I had a similar experience to others in which my flight was delayed and was never notified that you could only check-in during certain hours. When I arrived, the place was a completely dark building with nobody there to check you in. I had to spend a very large amount of money to book a room at a hotel nearby. L'Orchidea is refusing to refund my money even though they never notified me that check-in is only certain hours and never contacted me about check-in. I believe this hotel is a scam and would not feel comfortable staying there even if I was able to check-in by the look of the outside.
