Reviewed By claire mif you like this criteria, this is the hotel for you: View from the spa and dining area and possibly your room of sassolungo with waterfall underneath path behind the hotel leads to Seceda. We hiked and emountain biked there. Mountain bikes are free to use from the hotel, or discounted rental of ebikes. great advise from staff on the area and all staff were the right mix of genuine, pleasant and professional. for example, the cleaning lady saw I left my sketchpad on the balcony and moved it out of the rain while I was off hiking. Nice touch that they care. spa is small but just right for 23 room hotel. I find if I have too many rooms to be in, I dont relax as I want to try everything. Here the outdoor jacuzzi with amazing views over Val Gardena and dolomites was special treat. very clean and food was very good. the bonus to halfboard was a lovely light buffet from 3 - 5pm with tapas and cakes. The evening meal was at 7. 30pm and varied each night; gourmet with salad buffet.

Reviewed By Becky BThis hotel is well worth a visit. Firstly the area of Santa Cristina and the rest of the resort is absolutely beautiful. Gorgeous scenery, great transport links and amazing skiing! We will definitely return to the resort. The hotel was 10/10! The staff were all friendly and attentive, it was clean, well designed, had great facilities that were all maintained to a very high standard. They arranged various events for you throughout the week and feel put effort into all guests had activities to do if they wanted. The food was good and had lots of variety and our waiter Horatio was great! The hotel also offer free guiding services each day with Michelle. This was by far the best service from the hotel, it was great to be taken out in the mountains and taken to lovely restaurants. We met some great people and managed to ski so much of the terrain, instead of always using the map. If you book this hotel I would highly recommend skiing with Michelle if you are a intermediate skier or above. Michelle was always friendly, enthusiastic, willing to help and a great laugh to be around. Thank you from us all for making our holiday extra special!!

Great Ski holiday

Last year everything was closed so I planned a pre Christmas weekly trip , middle December 2021 and very lucky to arrive after the heaviest December snowfalls in the last years. Everything worked out properly, the stuff of the hotel were all great. Very friendly, smiling, and willing to help every minute. Thank you Francesca, Helena, and Robert in the reception.Thanks Gunter, and above all a big thank you to everyone in the restaurant from Luca to Debora and everyone else. The buffet in the breakfast was top quality and rich, and so was the salad buffet in the dinner. Top quality first and main course dishes, maybe the portions quite small but again very tasty. An extra bravo to the Chef for the delicious desserts, great tiramisu and cheese cake. The value for money spent has been excellent (pre season week) so I couldn't speak for the reasonably higher rate of the high season. All in all a splendid experience.

I found myself in a so nice place, my room and the bed were the place I needed to stay after a day on the snow. What I liked most of all was the dining rooms, that reminded me of my grandma's house in a village of the dolomites. Totally wooden, old wood, original, it gave me the sensation that time was stopped. Of course the hotel has all the features of modern business, a nice bar, wonderful rooms as I wrote before, and a lovely staff. Perfect cleanliness and helpful hints helped me during my days there. If you go to Santa Cristina, I think the Uridl is really the place where to stay. You will fall in love with it.

Here you can find our four swimming pools. We have two indoor- and two outdoor-pools. Also you can find a Finnish Sauna a Turkish bath and a Bio-Brechelbad, an Infrared Cabin a Kneipp bath and a water paradise with experience showers. Or you can visit our beauty "sasc" and get a nice face treatment or a massage. Meanwhile your children can enjoy the kids-playroom. If you want to park your car you can use our garage and use our shuttle service to reach the liftstations.

Reviewed By slyswamiOverall a GREAT hotel to stay, the new rooms on the 4th floor have such a great character, design and space. The staff members were very kind, welcoming and helpful. The rooms were kept very clean by the housekeeping team. The spa is brilliant. The shuttle bus to the ski lift was very good also. We were a group of 4 families and we were there for the last week of the Ski Season and had some great skiing. As we had such a large group, we were also given a 10% discount on our hotel rates and 7 nights for the price of 6. We would love to return, however, these are a few things that will need to be improved : Unfortunately, the quality of the food was not 100%. Some days were great and other days were poor. One day we were given Burata that was out of date and this was confirmed by the chef also. One of the days the fish wasn't cooked well and also another day the chicken was still pink. Even if it is the last week of the season, the quality of cooking and food for the guests should still be maintained to a high standard but this was not the case. As I have already said, there were also good days but the good experiences are easily spoiled by the bad experiences. We reported all of our feedback and comments to the hotel reception on the day before we left but 1 month later, we have still not heard back from the hotel about an apology or explanation. The thing that spoiled our holiday was the fact that there was a misunderstanding with the water. I am now noticing that other people on TripAdvisor have also mentioned this issue. We were under the impression that the water was tap water served in Glass Bottles and thus free. In actual fact the hotel has installed a special water filter tap in the bar and the water bottles are re-filled from this tap and served on the tables. For this reason, the bottles are not sealed and we thought it was regular tap water. Each bottle is charged at 4.50 Euros and we used nearly 8-10 bottles every night at dinner. Only at checkout did we notice the cost of 250 euros for Water. We did not realise that each bottle was costing 4.50 Euros and so we of course paid our bill. We would have been happy with regular tap water but it was too later. We of course also bought beer, wine and cocktails so it was not as if we were only hoping to drink free tap water. We have been skiing around Europe for the past 15 years and one nice touch that many other Hotels have done in the past is that once a day, the Owners come and introduce themselves to the guests, which is a very nice touch. This did not happen at Alpenhotel and maybe the Owners were busy but, this is just a nice touch for guests. This is not always necessary so we have nothing negative to say about this. We would love to return if the few things above are improved or corrected. One thing that we can say is that it is a great Hotel to stay in a great choice for any traveller (just be aware about the water issue).

New generation hotel young people and for who still feels young, dynamic and rational. Ideal for beautiful vacation in Val Gardena and for business trips because it's open the whole year! In the smart hotel Saslong you can book only the overnight staying. Overnight staying with rich breakfast buffet, with a various choice of deliciousness's, homemade sweets, fresh fruits or yogurts from the near farms and obviously every kind of cold cuts and natural fruit juices. Or with half board, with the dinner in the Blue Restaurant which is situated in the hotel: where south Tyrolean and Italian dishes are served in very particular way, modern and creative; without neglect the good taste! It's situated at the beginning of St. Christina in a very calm area, but ideal in winter for skiing and in summer for hiking and excursions, bcause it's in front of our free ski and line busses which will bring you to the lifts in Ortisei and Selva. In winter we there is no neglect of fun and entertainment with the swing full music at the apres ski bar at the entrance!
Smart by name and totally Smart by nature
Reviewed By Adrian PWe were on a week's ski holiday in an apartment from Saturday to Saturday, but had a Sunday flight home, so needed somewhere to stay for an extra night. The Smart Hotel was the ideal solution as they offered an early check in for a small extra fee, so we were able to drop our luggage in the room at 8.30 am and head off to the slopes. The hotel really is Smart: the room was spacious with quality fittings and fixtures; the ski room was state of the art and the best we've ever experienced. We chose to have an aperitif in the bar and eat in the restaurant in the evening; the service was excellent and we enjoyed a relaxing evening with top quality food: the Blue steak for two (800g) was amazing - melt in the mouth! Starters were also delicious and we were given a complimentary fried sardine and salad appetiser. Fantastic way to end the holiday. A ski bus stop is opposite the hotel, so very practical too.

Pension Vernel is privately-owned and managed by the Perathoner family. The hotel is relaxing and friendly, with comfortable furnishings and spacious rooms. Pension Vernel is centrally situated on the sunny side of Santa Cristina within easy walking distance of the local shops and only 900 metres from the first cable car of the Sella Ronda.

Reviewed By lucc840Is already the second time we stay here. Super accommodation. It has a new wellness and it is on the top floor. You have magnificent views. Rooms are big and 'La cena' is very good. For sure we will return. It is great value for the price

La Tambra is located in the center of Santa Christina in Val Gardena. The location is perfect for every Winter and Summer Tourist. The loaction allows easy access to the skilifts and therefore to more than 1000 km of Ski pists. We offer several apartment types, perfect for families or couples. Little breakfast (coffee and brioche) is FREE. Parking is also FREE, and literally on the other side of the street. A Restaurant is in the house if you wish to have it comfortable not to cook in the evening.
Superb accommodation in the heart of S.Cristina
Reviewed By Jval78We (2 couples) spent 6 days in La Tambra and had a lovely time. We rented out the "soppalco" which was meant for 4-6 persons so we had tons of space. Perfect location, The FIS WC Saslong slope/lift 500m away and a small chairlift just 50m away where you could ski to basically from the opposite side of the street, as we found out later in the week ?. Up the chairlift and just a couple of slopes and youre on the SellaRonda trip. . And the bus stop just down the street to Selva and Ortisei. La Tambra even provided bus tickets to us for the whole week. They don't serve breakfast so we made our own in the small but well equipped kitchenette; Spar store was just 100ft away and little more down the street was an exellent bakery for early birdies. Great selection on everything. And cheap. However the pizzeria/restaurant was exellent for dinner. Great pizza and pasta. We were even able to order a chantarelle risotto of the list recommended by our waiter. So I highly recommend residence La Tambra if you are looking for a place to stay with decent budget/superb location
