It's clean and cheap
Reviewed By Alan SSan Ferdinando isn't the best seaside town on the Italian coast with an industrial setting and a beach that is just a flat section of gravelly sand on the Med sea. When we arrived mid afternoon on a Friday, it was deserted but I suspect it would be much more lively in mid summer. What it is however, is close to both the major freeway and the Ferry port to get to Sicily so it is a convienient place to rest up before getting an early ferry to Sicily. Sweet Home is a clean and comfortable setting and when we stayed, Vittoria was away so the hospitality was adequate but not outstanding as other reviews have reported. A request to be paid in cash due to a faulty terminal was inconvienient and was landed upon us at check-out without much notice. I suspect had Vittoria been around, the review would have had at least one more point and in truth, it rates as 3 and a half for the location, amenities and service we recieved.

Calm place for family vacations
Reviewed By Julia SI spent two weeks at the residence Santa Barbara with my mom and two siblings. The place is very tranquil and peaceful, and the owners are awesome. They met us late at night and in a moment were able to rearrange our room according to our needs. Anytime we were asking for help, they found a way to provide even more than we needed. They even gave us a ride to a train station for free. We felt like we were at our home. The apartment had enough space for everyone. It didn't have an air con, but due to some breeze at night, we didn't feel any inconvenience. The beach is just across the road, and you have cafes and small shops nearby to enjoy an ice cream or buy groceries. I would definitely recommend this place to stay in Italy during summer. P.S. San Ferdinando is a very small town, so if you are with active youngsters, they might be bored. However, you can ask Antonio, a son of the owner, to advise you some places to go out.

Reviewed By Demetris1967Excellent. Great food, clean and very frendly personnel. Highly recommended. Next to port of Gioia Tauro combines business with rest and pleasure. The Son Ferdinando beach is 50 meters from the hotel. Summer time must be grade.

Vacanza in struttura da dimenticare
Reviewed By marcellomarteAbbiamo soggiornato ad agosto in formula residence in uno chalet 4 posti letto completamente fatiscente da tutti i punti di vista . Personale indifferente alla prima richiesta ma risolutivo solamente dopo varie e insistenti richieste. Spiaggia pulita mentre in piscina regole completamente inesistenti ( fare doccia prima dell'ingresso in acqua e indossare la cuffia) struttura esterna curata solamente in determinati punti (hotel e apparthotel). Al ns arrivo ci è stata richiesta una cauzione di euro 100 (successivamente abbiamo scoperto che anche in hotel cosa mai sentita prima era stata fatta la stessa richiesta). La cauzione ci è stata restituita senza nessun tipo di controllo alla struttura da parte del personale. Questo già dice tutto. Peccato aver scelto la formula residence ignorati e abbandonati a noi stessi mentre le restanti formule quali hotel e apparthotel completamente curati in ogni piccolo particolare. L'unica nota positiva è stata la Summer animazione capitanata da Lorenzo leotta con una fantastica spalla il grande Francesco cola e tutti gli altri ragazzi che sono riusciti ad alleviare il nostro soggiorno .

Reviewed By S_LI89Il B&B è ottimo. Rapporto qualità-prezzo eccellente, supera ogni aspettativa. L'accoglienza è calorosa, la cura dei proprietari è presente in ogni dettaglio. Le camere sono confortevoli e di recente ristrutturazione, come tutto il resto del B&B. La pulizia è accurata. La colazione offerta è buona. Abbiamo particolarmente apprezzato l'aperitivo con prodotti locali offertoci dai proprietari. Non posso che consigliare questa struttura.
