Reviewed By Edmontontraveler2018The pictures posted on line for this hotel is very deceiving. we rented a room with 2 individual rooms. spacious but the beds were hard and the televisions didn't work. The pool area does not look like that. The metal tables are rusted, the only thing holding it all together is the paint. They ran out of water one day, wifi was on for only certain times of the day and when it was on, the connection wasn't that great and the shower leaked all over when you used it. The toilet hose came off a few times because it was so rusted. Neighbors dogs were barking all night and the staff does not understand one word of English.. I could say more but i would not recommend this place. The only good thing for us was that it was very close to the beach and about a 15 minutes walk to La Pineta.

NOT A RESORT - IN NEED OF GUEST SERVICE
Reviewed By 880imvipI have been here for the past 3 days of 7. And since day one I’ve encountered issue after issue. 1. The A/C didn’t work in one of the bedrooms. Called maintenance and they took over an hour for them to come. 2. Lady at pool bar “Blanca “ need a bit more of customer service. Doesn’t pay attention to guests needs. Seems distracted with her phone. Something I find very unprofessional. 3. The in room refrigerator has been reported for it to be fixed/revised. It’s been 2 days now and still no interest of them to come fix it. We haven’t been able to buy food or drinks to store. Pointless. The following problem just happened about a few minutes ago. 4. Called in for a bigger cooking pan since there is no coffee maker. Lady at reception mentioned there will be someone coming up to get me the pan. After 30 minutes I had to walk down to reception to remind them about the pan. To my surprised, the housekeeper, the reception person and the lady I charge if showing the rooms all charting. And laughing on their phones. This definitely made me extremely mad. Very careless and unprofessional. Reception lady then told the housekeeper to find an extra pan. And once i was given one. She gave me the one attached in this review. It was filthy dirty. As if it had been in the floor with fungus growing in it. This is just unacceptable. I had high expectations for this “ Resort” since it looked way better than the rest of the bungalows around the area. I know it’s not a 5 star property but attention to guests is extremely important. I hope not the manager, but the owners read this review for them to know what the issues are and for them to find people that really want to work. Because the staff they have is just unprofessional. Will NOT stay here again!!

Reviewed By Leticia VEs increíble que no cuenten con A/Cq y solo abanicos de techo de los cuales hacen más ruido del aire que avientan, los colchoches pican al parecer tienen ácaros, y el baño está tan chico que te puedes lavar los dientes y bañar mientras haces tus necesidades, por cierto está repleto de mosquitos el lugar. Sin lugar a dudas el peor lugar donde me he hospedado y la culpa fue del organizador del viaje por quererse ganar unos pesos más nos arruinó nuestras vacaciones pues no pudimos dormir en ese baño sauna.

Reviewed By jamescV5769XSThe Casablanca Resort hotel is an old time Mexican family owned resort that primarily caters to Mexicans, Americans and Canadians.The hotel staff is warm, friendly and accommodating. >> Food purveyors and restaurants (there are many!) in Guayabitos seem to operate with the understanding that American and Canadian palettes are more sensitive to cleanliness and so food is usually prepared accordingly. This was our second and to be our last visit - and you ask why? Supporting this decision were two other issues that became quite frustrating during our 30 day stay in Winter 2020: 1. There are not enough beach chairs and sun umbrellas so hotel guests begin competing for these limited resources at 3 AM in the morning so that by 8 AM, all available beach equipment has been requisitioned by guests willing to rise early. This rather odd behavior by guests has been called to the attention of the owners by hotel staff - but had not yet been addressed prior to our departure. 2. A sporadic, random but extremely pervasive sewer smell was apparent at different times throughout our visit emanating from our bathroom sink (unit # 301). Fixing seemed beyond the authority of on-site staff. >> But hey - it’s still Mexico with great beach, warm weather and a very friendly, almost always accommodating staff at the Casablanca Resort. And if you are a lap swimmer as I am - the hotel swim pool is the best in all of Mexico!

Furniture is outdated, bathrooms are small, mattresses are uncomfortable, food is horrendous, and the sodas at the bar are flat. I did not enjoy my stay here. I didn’t pick it, it was part of a family trip. If it were up to me, I would have been gone that day. Staff is friendly and they really do try to make your stay fun and enjoyable but the building itself is outdated. We ate street tacos the two days we were here. No one in my large group liked the food. Oh and the pool water and ocean water are really warm. I don’t know if it’s because I’m from Cali, but with the heat out here, I would have preferred cold water. If you stay here, don’t expect anything fancy. Like someone said, even the “all inclusive” part doesn’t make it worth it.

Reviewed By Font99When you arrive at the hotel. The staff great you like you have arrived home. The guests who return are the friendliest. I will be back next year. Just take ear plugs for the noise in the morning on the returns and the wifi is the worst. Have your own hotspot or Mexican phone to get the internet. Upgrade I hope will happen some year. I will be back again
