Reviewed By Federica MWhere to start? First off, I love the area and its culture - Leopardi, Gigli - so it was a no-brainer for me to suggest to my husband that we stop here as part of our honeymoon. The host, Mr. Edoardo Scuderi, is a very kind, friendly, and knowledgeable person. He told us many interesting historical facts about the house, the history of the area, and his family. Being on our honeymoon, he gifted us with a bottle of wine that my husband and I could enjoy in our secluded terrace - a very nice touch, much appreciated. The house is located in a wonderful countryside setting, quiet, but with amazing views, only a few minutes drive away to Recanati city proper. The grounds are wonderfully kept, and the house itself, with period furniture, has a lot of flair. Our room was comfortable and beautiful - I am very attentive to details, and the handmade iron bed with mother of pearl, the wood beams, the tiles, the period doors, and the marble in the bathroom did the trick. Food: we had dinner and breakfast the same day. While at dinner, we were seated in a fantastic dining room decorated with a collection of musical instruments and accompanied by diffused opera music (Beniamino Gigli singing). The food both at dinner and at breakfast was really good, a mix of local specialties and a Sicilian touch (winking at the hosts' dual heritage). Villa Scuderi is an experience for all the senses - sight, touch, taste, hearing, and smell.

Reviewed By Li11iIt's a very small town and there's not much hotels to pick from. We were not impress with the hotel but neither did we dislike it. It's a small place so location is not matter. The rooms were simple and nothing to write home about but the views were just amazing from the room, we could see the city walls and beyond into the valley and hills, so we just sat there for hours enjoying the view.

Reviewed By ElyzI had a wonderful 2 nights stay , the place is spacious, quite , elegant, the rooms are big and have a magnificent view over the lovely countryside. There is car park , the location is in countryside and its better to have the car, the centre is near (nearly 2 km) but its just up the hill.

Rather shabby place.
Reviewed By SigrúnI have recently stayed six nights at this hotel. The room I got was not actually in the hotel itself, but the next building, where they seems to have some seven rooms. The room was not so bad, rather large, but very sparsely furnished. F.ex. I had to have my computer on the end of the table where the tv was, and the only chair in the room was very, very uncomfortable. Needless to say, the tv was the old fashioned one and I never even turned it on. The pillow was very hard and uncomfortable and the room was very cold for the first two nights. My colleagues had very small rooms which you could hardly move around in. Breakfast was included in our stay and the first morning I really didn´t know if I should laugh or cry, it was so ridiculous. Nothing but sweet cakes and some croissants that were filled with some yellow stuff. Never, ever have I seen anything like this before and my other traveling companions were also stunned. Well, after our complaints things did improve quite a lot and after that first morning we could get toast, fresh fruit and they even made some omelets. Unfortunately the omelets were prepared sometime in advance and one of our colleagues got really sick and he blamed the omelet. The dining room is not very nice, very brightly lit and shabby but they had good pizzas. I would never have booked this hotel myself, I was there on a course and the hotel was booked by my employer. Would not stay there again either.
