Reviewed By TimOnTheTrainLet’s start with the Lake. Orta is the smallest, quietest, and in my view most charming of the Italian Lakes. There’s none of the intensity and buzz of Bellagio, Sirmione and Stresa - this is quiet and a place to relax. The hotel is small to medium size and overlooks the lake. Some of the rooms have a lake view and it is worth upgrading for this. There’s parking and internet (the internet is a bit slow, but usable). The rooms are a good size and (for once) the shower was hot and powerful. For those that care, the TV gets BBC News. The real strength of the hotel is the restaurant. It’s a family hotel run by Alberto & Valentina. He is the head Chef and genuinely cares about the quality of his food, which is excellent. The restaurant gets busy at weekends, mostly with Italians visiting from the nearby big cities. A restaurant full of Italians rather than foreign tourists is a good sign. What did I like most apart from the food and the views? It’s all the people that work there. They take pride in what they do, care about your experience with them and are unfailingly cheerful despite the fact that they work hard to make it all happen.

Reviewed By FTM1962Greal location with a great lake view. Breakfast was very simple for a 4 star hotel. The roof top was not available due to private party (wedding) … two consecutive days with two private parties… this was bad due to all the advertising of the roof top and we could not use it. The hotel should have separated locations for the hotel hosts and private party and never advertise roof top as a big attraction if it was closed for private parties during Saturday and Sunday.

The Hotel Camelia is one kilometer far from Cameri. It offers contemporary style's rooms including gratis Wi-Fi connection, and reception that is available 24 hours a day. From the garage you can get into the room directly. Reviewed By hlg60Clean, bright hotel about 30 minutes from the airport. Short drive to the town of Novara if you have to stock up on supplies. Large, comfortable bed, great shower and breakfast. Each room has it's own private parking space that you can close the garage door and have a private entrance to your room. Loved this place!

Reviewed By WashableDogNice room (with little too hard bed for our taste), very nice view from the balcony facing the lake. Helpful staff (and a very cute hotel dog!) Pool was big enough, with basic pool service (Beer, drinks, ice cream and pool towels). Great location just minutes from the town, quite steep hills so you get a free workout going up and down. If you visit by car make sure to take a drive around the lake, very nice!

Reviewed By oenothene64Remote, but nice and the desk and breakfast staff was friendly. Room is average with the exception of the air conditioning not really working. It made noise, but just a fan. Great meal in Ollegio at Dynum. I would stay here again if I could eat that pizza. Best crust in years

I found Oleggio itself to quite interesting and there were a few cafes and restaurants around the main square. There is a large supermarket just a few doors down from the hotel. Overall the hotel was excellent. I would stay here again, no problem.

Reviewed By H9028YVaudreylin a beautiful location, right on the edge of the lake. Lovely room, but very cold as the heating was 'hit and miss' my tour manager had to report the problem twice. No instructions on how to switch the heating on, otherwise I could have solved the problem myself. Tea and coffee making facilities were not good! First day OK, but once the tea and coffee were used, there were no further sachets and also no milk, that aspect was very poor The food was OK, but only OK. The staff were great and worked hard. I failed to understand why dogs were allowed in the dining room and were constantly barking.

The location on lake Orta is perfect but sleeping is the only thing you should do here. - the breakfast is included on the room price but is of poor quality (no fresh bread, only in plastics, mostly packed foods) - the second day, as I was drinking the apricot juice served during the breakfast I had a DEAD FLY in my mouth. Not on the top of the juice like it just drowned.... on the middle of the juice like if several bottles had stayed opened and were mixed.... no explaination nor excuses from the staff, just this miraculous answer : « we are in the nature, it is normal to have flies ». Dead flies in the middle of a juice, really ? - there is a possibility to have dinner on the terrasse, and the view is great but the food is horrible and expensive. We asked to the waiter which pasta was fresh and apparently none. We tried the ragù (11€ + 2€ on coperto for unfresh pasta and frozen sauce...) and the omelette (9€ + 2€ on coperto). Both dishes were wayyyy to salty that it was difficult to eat. I did not know it was possible to eat bad italian food, now I know it’s possible :)

Reviewed By SteveinstanstedThe hotel is as described, wonderful location and facilities. Our room was large, the bed was comfortable and full queen size. Bathroom modern and a large room. We ate at the restaurant which was good food. We had half board and it gave us most of the a la carte menu to choose from. Breakfast was more than adequate with lots of choice.
