On arrival we realised the place is one of the most outstanding places to stay at Pohang! The location is right across the beach wit fine views of the POSCO port area, beach, Pier, from the rooms. The check-in was smooth. The rooms are not very big but very comfortable and modern in amenities. The sleep quality was excellent and the beds are super. The entire hotel in centrally air conditioned and hot water is amiable in plenty. The breakfast spread was very nice, too. There are a lot of eat-outs near the hotel. The place is very tempting for a run along the beach for interested! Overall, a fabulous stay for 2 nights!

Reviewed By sue kIt was an experience to find, but a small, very courteous home for a couple of nights. Very close to the bus depot which was our main mode of transportation, after our feet! Our son is a student at POSTECH and this was close to the school and his apartment. Huge bathroom! Comfy beds. Very clean.

Reviewed By yuki-ukkoStayed only one night here as had another booking elsewhere the following 2 days. This hotel is a business hotel and is very old school, the furnishings and decor is a little dated but the service from the staff was wonderful and the front desk staff answered all my queries and even made me a coffee when the coffee shop was not open yet. The room was spacious and the bathroom was ok, I still can’t get used to bathroom slippers but they have them. There is a self laundry facility on the 3rd floor but be warned to only wash a little clothes as it takes forever to dry. If arriving by bus into Pohang and need a quick place to stay I would recommend here.

Our room had one double western bed, one Korean room with futon, and two bathrooms, bath products and cosmetic fridge. ;) Great location for Pohang beach front, which has mostly motels.

Reviewed By 소영 김게스트하우스 도미토리랑 가격이 비슷하니까 혼자 계시고 싶을땐 괜찮을 것 같네요. 칫솔치약도 없고 샴푸, 바디워시 하나로 된 거 밖에 없고 창문은 너무 좁았어요. 욕실에 욕조가 있긴 한데 키가 작은 여성한테도 작았어요... 밖으로 나가면 포스코때문에 야경은 좋았는데 아침에 공장 매연때문에 공기가 별로더라구요.. 개인적으로는 소나무 밭도 좀 정신 없었어요. 와이파이가 잘 안된다고 말씀드렸더니 간이 와이파이? 같은 걸 달아두셔서 그건 좋았네요. If you want to stay alone in a room not like in a dormitory of guest house, I would recommend this hotel because the price is close to it. No amenities(there was only shampoo and body wash in one), small window, small bathtub(even small for a short height woman). It has a nice night view tho you'll need to go outside to the beach to enjoy it. But because of the factories near hotel, the air in the morning is really bad.

Reviewed By lucbrutI had no choice but to book this hotel due to a conference scheduled to take place at the hotel. When you walk into the lobby, it looks like a nice hotel. The reception desk is to the far left past an awkwardly placed ATM machine. It looked like no one was behind the desk until you came closer and someone was sitting so low behind the counter, you could not see that person unless she stood up. You would've think, being Korea and customer service is very well established, that she would greet you upon hearing the rolling of your luggage wheels however, she just sat there until you put your elbows on the counter and said "excuse me". I get it that Pohang is an industrial city and that the hotel is not an international hotel, so English is not practiced however, about 200 people were attending this conference and they knew well in advance the Americans were coming. I went to the hotel gym only to find it dark and unoccupied. The bar was also "closed". It was a ghost hotel, only the woman behind the reception counter was the only employee. I bought the daily breakfast buffet package for KrW10,000. I came to breakfast around 0800 every morning and most of the food was gone. The porridge looked like it stayed in the crock pot overnight and became a pot of thick paste with a crust on top. The eggs were cold and the rice was old! Not worth the money. The room is a comfortable size but scary! The carpet looks as if someone was mass-murdered and no one bothered to clean it. The bathroom toilet bidet was possessed, stubbornly spraying water when not asked to (I had to unplug the toilet to get it to stop). No shower curtains, even though it had a rod with rings. Bring your toiletries. The bottle of pink mystery soap was was watery and did not foam. Lights were out and either not working or needed replacement. I think the only saving grace was the bed. It was clean and comfy. At $62 a night, not sure if it was worth it considering the Best Western and Benikea were of similar rates and nearby. We had to book through Expedia and Booking.com. I had to change a day of a reservation to a later check in (I booked for several people) and the hotel penalized me a night's stay for the change, even though it was 3 days before the check in. They don't give you 48 hours like most hotels. You have to change or cancel a week or more in advance or you will pay a night stay. Lastly, the conference venue was suddenly changed to the UA Convention center nearby. Don't know why it wasn't held at the Philos because no one was there!

When I first ask how to go hiking at naeyamsan he straight told me that the option of hiring a cab is expensive and he said he is available to show me around if I am agreed with. Sure I do, he even join me for the hike, unfortunately the weather is not very good so we end up quite early. However, I am thankful for his suggestions and I did manage and enjoy my 2night stay with the hotel I didn't manage to take the hotel pics as I forgotten to, but the room description is a match in booking.com. I book the double room and requested early check in. Outside the hotel have the convenient store, breakfast and dinner room is small but have nice ambience, I had my oglio olio pasta for the dinner in the hotel is inexpensive and great taste!! The hotel walk to the Jukdo dried and seafood market is not too near nor too far. But walking is a good choice, about 15mins walk as I enjoy slow walk so it took more than 15mins ??. Take direct KTX from Seoul to Pohang, upon arrival take a cab to the hotel estimate bout KRW9000 bout USD9 Will definitely come back and stay at the hotel again. Is a city hotel so going to Homigot sunrise is not near, if you are taking a cab will cost you around KRW25,000 one way, so is probably the best choice to take bus instead you will save much. P/S: If you find the same hotel name STAY INN Pohang is also the same hotel, just that the other website hasn't change the name to STAY hotel. Just look out for the address any difference will do. Mr. Daniel, once again thank you for your kind assistance given during my stay.

Fabulous Hotel with great location
Reviewed By NorthumberlandAlfThis hotel is a real find. It is centred on the main seaside street overlooking the POSCO steel works. Make sure you get a sea view room so that you can watch the 8pm spectacular light festival that lights up the steelworks. The people who manage the hotel could not be any more helpful. Indeed the manager walked us down the street to a noodle bar and ordered food for us as we don’t speak Korean as he wanted to ensure that we had a decent evening meal. There is 24 hour, coffee, toast, water and yoghurts available in the foyer. Rooms are nicely decorated and the more expensive rooms have a massage chair.
