Reviewed By brigittesJ7812ATTerrific Stay! The service at the Coronado Luxury Suites is top shelf. The staff knows well how to serve. The pool is expansive and well kept. The breakfast was very fast and basic. But good! We especially loved our room with a pool in front of our patio. You can easily walk to things in the Coronados but the road is gravel and uneven. It was a great stop-over stay.

We have 5 very nice rooms ,even a family room in this very beautiful house . Each room could be rented for a minimum of 2 nights, for 2 persones per room only and it come with a delicious healthy breakfast and all the leisure activities that you are looking for. Yoga and Pilates , massage could be done on the site in private or group classe. Kids are welcome and have to be 6 years hold and more . The nutritious breakfasts served poolside looked like pictures from a magazine, and for our anniversary she served us mimosas and a gorgeous special meal. Make sure you take advantage of the yoga and massage offerings, both fantastic. Also loved floating in the pool and reading at night outside, under the twinkle lights sipping wine (wine, beer and cocktails available on site). Anne Marie has good recommendations for restaurants, towns and beaches in the area. She helped us discover places we never would have found, you can’t go wrong if you follow her ideas. The rooms were spacious and comfortable as well. I recommend you try El Litoral. Would be wonderful to meet there with a group of friends.

Best Stay in Playa Coronado
Reviewed By Michele SCasa Swell is the only place to stay if you’re visiting Playa Coronado! My partner Alan and I had the most relaxing 2 days staying at Casa Swell. Our hosts Jay and Ava were so very kind and accommodating. We loved reading in the numerous hammocks placed around the property and going for a swim or relaxing on the inflatable raft while sipping on a cold beer. Our room was perfect, clean and designed with comfort in mind! We will definitely be coming back to this hidden gem of Playa Coronado!!

Couldn't have found a more relaxing and attractive place to 'chill' on the Panama coast
Reviewed By WanderlassieAlmost let the 'cash only' dissuade us from staying, but once we'd found an ATM @ the entrance to Playa Coronado, we were so thankful we hadn't! Knew after several hours that we even wanted to stay a second night rather than hop-scotching our way up the coast. Owner (Canadian) Mo and Ouri, a Panamanian, were lovely hosts. Our Spanish -English translation was assisted by Robert, a frequent guest fluent in Spanish. It was easy 2 have them obtain a taxi ($4-5) for the 2 mi. to restaurants...a bus comes nearby every 20-30 min. ($.50)...the beach is an easy 7 min. walk though it is not what most think of as a 'tourist' beach. The entire area DOES feel safe. Our bed was comfy, the aircon quiet but strong, shower hot, and their small pool a 'just right' temperature. Breakfasts were huge and delicious, prepared when u wanted and concientious of allergies. We couldn't recommend more strongly if u are coming to Panama's coastal cities.

Reviewed By Brenda BOn several websites it clearly states they have a free shuttle to town...this is a lie. It does not exist. It was the main reason we booked there but ended up having to take taxis back and forth to Coronado. They also advertise a restaurant, never saw a soul eat there in three days. The room had a funny smell and it took at least 6 hours for the air conditioning to cool down the room the first night. It really is as the name implies “hotel camping”. The breakfast was barely okay but definitely get there at 7am when they first put it out as it sits there TIL 10am. We had to ask for toilet paper as there was not a single piece when we got into the room. The pool was about the only decent thing about the whole place but could have been cleaner. And the shower did have decent pressure. Also lists on some website fitness centre and room safe......yet to find.

Reviewed By gianlopreteClean rooms, the shared areas are well equipped. The hostal is very close to the beach (less than 5 minutes). The pool is ok. They have a good number of bbq available for the guests. Very good signal of Wi-fi in all areas. 100% recommended. Very good prices.

Hard to find - bad WiFi
Reviewed By SirNoseNot sure why it has a different name listed here and on other hotel sites. Just understand it is called the “CORONADO INN” and not “Evenia”. Also there are no signs other than a “HOTEL” sign in front of the neon green Pacific Casino. You have to turn at the casino and drive in to the back of the parking lot to find it. The lady at the front desk, although speaks zero English, was very nice and helpful. The room was super basic and plain with no amenities. The movies did not work on the TV and the WiFi did not work at all. You have to put your used toilet paper in the trash rather than flush it, which is fairly common in the area with limited septic systems. Some people may find that kinda gross. As the hotel is directly on the big highway, it can be fairly noisy with big trucks going by and some honking, but close your curtains and you should be ok. The neighborhood is super skanky with a handful of crappy restaurants nearby and a KFC and McDonalds. The only way to get there is to dart across the 4 lane freeway which seems fairly dangerous. This place should be a one night only where you just need to sleep. Not great for kids at all and with the cheap price and the raw sewage smell and gambling next door, this should be a quick stop only if necessary.

Reviewed By Over60NomadVery laid back and relaxed. Helpful friendly staff. Abbiel is there some days and speaks perfect English. He is extra helpful, ask him anything. They have a food shack with basic offerings during the day. But the place next door has full meals, breakfasts, etc if you want more choices. I stayed in the dorm, it has A/C which makes it nice for sleeping.
