Reviewed By BerritsoeRelaxing and informal We stayed here parents and 2 teens for our summer holidays. The place had everything we hoped for: nice basic (clean) rooms, a good (plentiful) breakfast, a nice pool with nice surroundings ( beautiful roses and olive trees on the sloped lawn), not too big a place, and very friendly staff. It is even closer to the lake than we thought, and we never had to worry about getting a sun bed. Don’t go here if you want a place with loud music and activities. Go here if you want a family feel, and a slow pace.

The country house "Nonna Bettina" is located in the middle of an olive grove, in a privileged position compared with the views of the lake, which dominate the peninsula of Sirmione and the Desenzano Gulf's. The mansion is surrounded by beautiful grounds with gardens, porches, terraces Sunning and areas dedicated to relaxation and occurs as an escape for Couples, small groups and families where the elderly and the baby are suitable environments to rest and play.

You are near everything by foot or by car and the rooms offer everything from a fridge to boiler for making tea. They also accept dogs into the rooms at extra cost. What a hearty welcome by the owners who handle guests as family. And they sell their own home made olive oil! ......the view from the rooms and breakfast area over the lake is so beautiful. The main street can be noisy at night but with windows closed, you hear nothing.

The first hotel I really wanted to praise!
Reviewed By Lera PWe have stayed only one night with my husband and wanted to avoid crowd of Lake Garda. You need a car to arrive to the hotel and it's far from everything touristic. Very nice view and super breakfast on terrace with fresh yummy products. The owner of the place will make you feel like home, the most pleasant person! Rooms are all renovated and very modern. I would like to come back for the comfort and pleasant experience again!

Hotel in need of refubrishment
Reviewed By Jan BI visited this hotel as part of a tour group. It was the end of season, and much of the area was closed. The owner would not open the pool, although some days were very warm. The food was quite good and the staff were lovely. However, despite the lovely view of the lake, the hotel needs total overhaul. The carpets were a bit grubby and threadbare, especially on the stairs, and I had a leaky shower, making a puddle on the floor daily. Some other members of the group had trouble with the showers too. One of my pillows was stained, but I had a spare, so used that one instead. Altogether a bit disappointing. Despite its 4-star rating on the gate, this is definitely more like 2-star.

We stayed in an apartment and also had one bedroom. Great big rooms with awesome. Beds and airconditioning. Super bathroom and everything was spotless. Breakfast was amazing with such warm hospitality. Last time we visited Italy was 9 years ago but we will be back here way sooner next time Keep up the great work Ponstijn family from NL and NZ

First visit to lake Garda. Beautiful part of Italy
Reviewed By saffer5151I recently had a 10 day stay with my children and grandchildren. It is a reasonably good venue for children - swimming pools, some entertainment and endless fries, pizza and pasta / which they loved. The accommodation was basic, in serious need of updating, with self catering facilities. Washing machine, gas hob, microwave and Small fridge freezer, crockery, cutlery and cooking pots. I did not find it clean to start with - it is not serviced, a resident hoover would be welcome. The laundry is only changed at end of a weeks’ stay. Unfortunately, in our case, this did not happen but, when highlighted, was soon rectified. Also, There was insufficient laundry provided for 3 adults snd 2 children from the start. We had paid for 1/2 board. The breakfasts and dinner menus were the same throughout our stay which did become rather repetitive and boring. Italian Tuesday nights were pleasant. Food was ok - too much fried and a set menu not to my taste. Unable to order a la Carte on Tuesdays. A warning about mosquitoes should also be highlighted so guests can prepare ahead of a stay. My children in particular were severely bitten despite citronella and repellents. The frontline staff were absolutely excellent, friendly, helpful at all fines, and went out of their way to ensure we were happy with the service. In particular I need to praise Francesca, Mirko and Sylvia. All 3 speak fluent English, amongst others, and went over and beyond to ensure our needs were met and our stay was comfortable. Without these 3 staff I fear the Residence would not run as smoothly or as efficiently and pleasantly as it does. They all worked extremely diligently throughout our stay.

Reviewed By evelyn12342020Rooms in general were big, but the crib could not fit in the sleeping room.. Stuff was very friendly. Not clean, all old and broken. Restaurant/bar was closed. Too many people at the pool. Internet (Wlan) never working..
