Not clean (dirty towels, dirty walls, dirty toilet)

Reviewed By JuditS73

Pictures from booking.com are misleading. Walls are dirty. We've found hair on the towels,on the bedsheets. Red stain on the towel! Bunk bed doesn't seem to be safe for our kids. It is really old bed with dirty walls. Very outdated room. Toilet is yellow stained! They need to change the toilet seat! I would go to another hotel, but unfortunately I've booked for 3 nights. It was really loud outside until 12.30 a.m. , because they were packing something at the kitchen and they made loud noise outside in the garden under our room window. I don't recommend for families with kids. I am not coming back. I will try to cancel for tomorrow and go back to our previous hotel.

Lovely B & B

Reviewed By toots33

Stayed here in early September 2016 on our way to France from Southern Italy. Easy to get to from the motorway. Room was smallish, but very comfortable and clean. The host was very helpful and the breakfast good. Downside was it wasn't close enough to walk to a restaurant in the evening (no pavement and the road was busy) and we didn't want to have to drive again after being on the road all day, so we bought food etc from the supermarket and ate in our room. Other than that great choice.

Great stay not that far from nice beaches and Lucca

We stayed few days at this B&B. Gaby really made us feel at home right away. And was very helpful in selecting bagno and restaurants. The house is very nicely decorated and in impeccable condition. Great pool to cool down and did spectacular views in the evening. Not too far from nice beaches, Lido di Camaoire or even Lucca which is definitely worth visiting.

Another rainy night and we did not get a chance to look further and decided to stay here. Cosy family run B&B. The room was spacious and the place is really probably their home. We had a comfortable stay, but did not really enjoy the breakfast. Normally B&B breakfasts are great. The kitchen was right outside our bedroom and got the feeling with all the tinkering noises of utensils, that they were waiting for us to wake up. Very simple breakfast. We do not eat deli, so only had the bread and jam. Was dissapointed that we were only served two slices of bread, almost the size of a small cookie. Just had it with jam and coffee and left. Had to stop for brunch when we left.

We also enjoyed a very nice dinner. Breakfast was rather small without any coldcuts and the bread was from the day Before.

LOVED IT!

We stayed in one of the small apartments called "Il Fienile", close to the main house. The apartment was very clean and we found everything we needed; from the sheets/towels to the kitchen equipment, from the mosquito nets to the microwave. We have a 1 year-old kid, so those facilities helped us having a great time without any worry! Every apartment also has its own little garden with the possibility to use a grill. Even though there are quite a few apartments, the place is really quiet and relaxing, it almost felt like we were on our own! The swimming pool, wit its salty water in the middle of the olive trees, is fantastic, and the whole farm land has free access, so we had beautiful walks around. And, last but not least, the owners were very kind and nice, they helped us for any issue and advised us on the surrounding areas and things to do. We'd love to come back!

This was a girls trip booked very last minute and the owners kindly accommodated our needs. The place was clean, quiet, with a beautiful scenic drive and had amenities such as the pool and tennis courts. Great breakfast. The rooms are rustic and simple with large bathrooms with complimentary toiletries. The owners catered to all of out needs, including making reservations at the local hot spots and coordinating cabanas for us at the beaches of Forte. It was our first time driving in Italy and they went as far as driving us around on our first day to show us the different streets and highways to get to the various beaches, restaurants, etc. Would definitely go back!

Villa Gobbi Benelli

The villa preserves its past in heritage and in history. It can be described as a charming historical villa which sits on a 10-acre estate surrounded by olive groves, vegetables gardens, orchards and beautiful Italian gardens. Located in the relaxing Versilia hills and overlooking the Versilia coast. The villa started to undergo an important renovation of the entire property in 1985, taking it from a ruin to the present magnificent Tuscan villa that offers six bedrooms all with en-suite bathroom. Villa Gobbi Benelli is an ideal base to discover the most important cities in Tuscany - 20 kilometers from Pisa, 22 kilometers from Lucca, 68 kilometers from Florence, giving their guests the possibility to enjoy the rich and plentiful culture, yet far enough to be an oasis of peacefulness, calm, and beauty.

The best holiday of my life!

Reviewed By HHJNH

We have stayed at the Villa Gobbi Benelli twice and fall in love with it more each time. The heart and soul of the villa is Dunja, who is by far the best cook and the sunniest, loveliest person I have ever encountered. The villa is beautifully kept, it has stunning views, fantastically maintained gardens and a pristine pool. You really feel the sincere warmth of Dunja, her family and team, it is hard to leave! The key highlights are: Dunja's food is absolutely delicious, she changes the menu daily and uses fruit and vegetables from her own gardens. The rooms are exquisitely decorated, beautifully presented, well-stocked and carefully cleaned daily. Dunja also runs brilliant cookery courses at the villa, headed by a professional chef that are well worth booking in advance. Dunja, her staff and family are so welcoming to children. My children were as sad as we were to leave! They miss Dunja and keep asking when we will be returning. We will go back this Summer, we just can't stay away! I cannot describe how highly I would recommend the Villa Gobbi Benelli, even staying there this February without the advantages of the hot weather and the pool we couldn't have enjoyed our stay more. Out of all the places that I have ever stayed, the Villa Gobbi Benelli is my favourite. It feels like a home away from home, somewhere to completely relax and recuperate. And if you love good, seasonal food, you will not be disappointed! Stay here, you will find yourself returning again and again.
