Fine budget hotel
Reviewed By RIKKEEMILIE75Nice family owned hotel close to the beach. We stayed for 2 nights, okay for a short stay. The hotel was old but clean. We ate out for dinner, but this lovely family served the best breakfast during our stay in Zakynthos. Lots of variety greek specialities both days. So deliscious! After all, we had a lovely stay, thanks to this nice family. Great tip for hikers: Theres a untraditional route up in the mountain away from the mainroad to Keri lighthouse. Its a walk in about 1 hour. Its a nice walk with a great view above Keri Limni and even more breathtaking when you reach Keri.

Lovely stay
Reviewed By Charlotte1267We had a lovely week at Herodotos. Nothing to fault at all comes to mind! George was very friendly, being very accommodating whilst respecting privacy. Unfortunately there came to be a chance of us having to take our Mum to the nearby hospital/pharmacy and when asking for details, they offered to drive us, saying to just come ask at any point - luckily we didn't have to in the end however! The apartment was simple but all we needed and always very quiet day and night. Don't feel it would be feasible to cook very easily, but we had a couple of lovely mezze type meals with bread/salad/olives etc and were very happy to eat out most nights considering the many tavernas. What could have been a slight negative was that the balcony's were very close together, but fortunately as the studios weren't that full at the time we went this was never an issue for us. Also perfect waking distance from the beach and the village itself had everything we needed, whilst still being very quaint with all the greek charm we hoped for. Beach a little busy, but very pretty and we always found a spot! Was great to easily rent a car for a couple of days as well and book onto one of the boat trips to explore a bit further. We were all very happy with both the accommodation and location in general - would definitely go again. Mum had already booked to go again this month, although things are understandably up in the air for now considering the coronavirus circumstances, as they wait to hear about the flights!

Wie Zuhause - gerne wieder!
Reviewed By simonejulieWir wurden persönlich empfangen, total liebe Besitzer die sich um das Wohlergehen jedes Gastes kümmern. Insiderinformationen zu Restaurants von Panagiotis, er organisiert auch alle Ausflüge (Shipwreckbay, Turtleisland,...) Die Anlage liegt im Grünen, wunderschön bepflanzt mit 2 lieben kleinen Hunden die jede Streicheleinheit lieben. Die Zimmer sind praktisch eingerichtet mit Holzmöbeln und bequemen betten, zusätzlich verfügen sie alle über eine kleine Küche und einen Balkon richtung Garten. Alles war sehr sauber und gepflegt, in der Nacht ist es absolut ruhig, aber auch durch den Tag, falls man mal ein Schläfchen halten möchte. Zum Strand sind es ca 10 Gehminuten. Hier ist man super aufgehoben und wir können dieses kleine Paradies nur weiterempfehlen - gerne wieder!!!

Great choice

The apartments are owned by a super nice couple - they helped us with our bags, made us coffee, gave us ice cream - You can feel that the is a family business and they love what they do. The place is super close to the beach and if you love snorkeling, this is the place for you - you can spot the turtles, swim with the fish and see the Kerry Caves.

Reviewed By Francesco CFeeling like being in family. A very special place! I suggest it to everyone who is looking for a peaceful and delightful place for holidays, in a wonderful island. And, when you don't want to organise a trip around the island, you can enjoy a perfect beach a few hundred of meters from the studio. And, other important thing, Marathonissi (Turtles Island) is just in front of the beach, with boats that can take you there all the day. Don't miss it!

Gross and disappointing
Reviewed By Oana_diliThis accommodation was overall a horrible experience. The apartment I had was a disgrace. Aside from the fact that everything was as old as the world itself, it wasn't clean either. I found hair on the bathroom floor when I arrived, it was still there when I left. The air conditioning would make noises making it hard to sleep with it on, until it stop cooling 2- 3 days before we left and even though I told them, nothing changed. We had to sleep in heat. The sheet on the bed was so thin that I could see the mattress through it and it wasn't also a good match, it would come off too. I addressed the cleaning and sheet issue through my guide and they indeed changed my sheets to something better. Unfortunately, even though I checked trip advisor and their site, I could not see these things and this is mainly because they only have great shots of their renovated rooms and apartments on their site (complete hoax - how come you put something excelent looking on your site and I receive the contrary) but I fail to understand the trip advisor ratings though... I feel tricked as I paid a good amount of money for the apartment I had and I wouldn't come back, not even for free. They indeed have a very nice view if you're willing to stay in such conditions only for the view. Oh, and I forgot to mention the shower. Very small. But, in the end, I could have lived with that if it wasn't for the improper conditions.

Exceptional holidays with outstanding hosts
Reviewed By dragans800I had been on 5 Greek islands so far and I thought I knew all about Greek’s hospitality, but I must admit that Katerina raised a bar about that at least one level higher. At our arrival we (2 adults and 2 kids) were welcomed by Katerina and her daughter Sophia so warmly as we would know each other for years. Katerina showed us our accommodation (60 m2 deluxe studio with a sea view) which totally astonished us. Two stars rated private suite looked better than 5-star hotel in Kos island where we spent our holidays couple of years ago. On the table there was a bottle of wine and olive oil waiting for us and we opened a fridge we found also with fresh vegetables from owner’s garden. Furniture of the suite was totally new, and everything was so clean. It was clearly seen that cleanliness is one of hosts top priorities. Micro location of Marathon Studios and Apartments also totally fit our needs. Not so crowdy beaches, a lot of tavernas and car&boat rental companies offered us everything we needed. As for the host (Katerina) I need to add that she didn’t hesitate to answer any question to make our stay as pleasant as possible even if that would mean that she would need to sacrifice couple of hours of her time. Even when almost all the rent-a-car companies on the island I could find on the Internet said that there is no possibility to get any car to rent, she was able to find one and arrange a pick-up in front of the premises. Thank you, Katerina and Sophia, for a very pleasant stay and thank you that you treat your guests on such a high level with all the genuineness and special care. Your great and positive energy brought and will bring new guests. I can only highly recommend everything and wish you all the best. We will certainly try to come back.

Reviewed By Peter BVilla Akros is first class destination. The hosts Maria and Nick do everything to make your stay a great experience. The pool and adjoining courtyard is spacious, with beautiful stone work. The pool is as big as the photos look. Swam laps in the pool everyday. Rooms are well appointed, clean and good sized. This all comes with the most incredible views on the island. Sitting above the town of Kerri, over looking Zante and Turtle Island. Just amazing. The island has many great beaches, quaint towns and several great restaurants. The people on the island are friendly, helpful and glad to have you on their island.

Reviewed By Ka POur stay at Villa was great! Most friendly and kind host, a wonderful person (we are so sorry we did not say farewell, as we were in a great hurry not to miss our plane). The house is located in most beautiful mediterranean garden. Our room was very comfortable, with a little terrace facing the garden. We also had a tiny kitchenette and fridge and a comfortable bathroom. Everything was very clean and functional. Villa is very close to the sea and the waterfront with tavernas. Keri area is peaceful, quiet and very pretty. I highly reccomend this place, specially for couples and nature lovers.
