Absolutely beautiful hotel
Reviewed By Mark-hu85The most beautiful hotel, such a big property but so well maintained. Gardens and walkways are beautiful. Plenty of pools, lovely beach. Traditional in style but not at all dated. The food, even in the buffet restaurants is ridiculously good quality with so much variety. Even snacks at the water park are outstanding. Cocktails are good quality and they don’t hold back on the spirits! Loads for kids to do. A short walk takes you to some nice beach bars if you fancy a walk out (one with a small kids area, perfect for us). I just can’t compliment this hotel and how it is run enough! Would love to return one day.

Clean friendly hotel
Reviewed By 178lesleytArrived late at night to be greeted by Mike who sorted us with a nice salad. All staff are very pleasant. Guannis especially. Food may not be to everyone’s taste but you won’t go hungry and if you ask the chef is very obliging with requests. Plates cleaned away very quickly. Very pleasant young lady who is very efficient and will look after you. We visited in May and masks have to be worn in the restaurant. Location very good as turn left or right and 2 minutes to bars and shops. Pool very small and limited sun beds. No exterior bar but patilida 2 minutes away are very obliging and you get 10% off. Rooms very clean and beds changed every other day. I wish we had asked to move as found our side facing room very noisy and I am a light sleeper. Good job we took our own coffee and tea bags as there was only 3 coffee stick and 3 sugars. We purchased milk and refreshments from the shop and stored in the fridge. 3 body wash and 3 soaps supplied. I personally would not stay here again as didn’t like the fact that there was no entertainment and no bar inside during the day. Not even soft music around the pool.

Fantastic BUT!!
Reviewed By 858kanemCame away for a relaxing couples holiday and this hotel really hit the spot, the hotel is beautiful and quite a surprise when arriving as from the front it really doesn't look that special but once inside you would have no idea you were on a busy road and the hotel is beautifully designed well decorated and right on the beach. Food - some have said the food was repetitive and I think this may be if all inclusive, we opted for half board as don't really need lunch all the time and if we do we like to dine out sometimes. The food in our opinion was excellent and varied, everything was hot, flavoursome and fresh with no dry meat like I have experienced elsewhere. Meals were very varied and there's a great selection of food. I would say that if you're a fussy eater and you only eat English food this may be why you may think it's repetitive but we like to try new flavours and local foods and we were not disappointed, in some cases we tried several different dishes as there was so much choice, all of which were delicious. Atmosphere - great place for couple with music in the background but not in your face boom boom eurotrash, more chilled out Ibiza style. Staff - friendly, polite and efficient which really helped us enjoy our stay. Rooms - clean, fresh and comfortable with a modern look. Only downside is the TV has no movie channels and only English channels seem to be the news! Location - great location in the better part of town, lots if shops, bars and restaurants to suit any needs, we particularly liked Scorpio bar and restaurant which has a great atmosphere and music although we only used the bar for drinks. Beach - beach was average but we like long open expanse of beach rather than small coves so others may prefer this type, it's not necessarily as beautiful as the coves in Ibiza. SUNBEDS!!! - If you want to sit around the pool be prepared to be up by 7am to reserve the bed.....the hotel have a no reservation policy but as usually this is not adhered to and so people are up at the crack of dawn and then go back to bed.....this was really frustrating but were used to getting up early so we didn't have an issue with this, there were several occasions though where people removed others towels and stile the beds and at points it was starting to get out of hand. I think the hotel management need to manage this and if towels are left on a bed for more than 90 min they should be removed. Overall - we loved our holiday at the Akasha Hotel and I can honestly say that it's one of my favourite hotels and I've travelled all over the world in 4-5 star resorts, the food, staff and hotel in general have a great hotel only ruined by the sunbed issues which could be simply resolved by either additional sunbeds or a good management policy.

Honest review

I paid £98 for 1 week which is a great price, the hotel is very centrally located, has clean facilities, comfortable beds and some very friendly staff (especially man at main bar area in evenings) Upon arrival I was provided a room at the back of the hotel on the ground floor, with a terrace area below street level. Being a single traveller I wasn’t fully comfortable with this and asked for a room change the next day. (I made 2 special requested prior to arrival for a room with a balcony/higher floor) I was offered a room in an annex at the back of the hotel which I accepted and was happy as I had a balcony. However the reason I was then unhappy is I had 2 friends joining me a few days after my arrival, both of which had their own rooms booked. Both of the Rooms they were provided were high floor balcony rooms with huge double mirrored wardrobes which was as advertised in the pictures - my room in the annex was an older building, without mirrored wardrobes, without self closing/locking doors, (had to turn a key to lock) and also had a bedside light broken. I did not want to be a hassle to the hotel at this point and ask for another room change but It did put a damper on my experience that both of their rooms were clearly of a higher standard and in the main building. I do not see why I was not given a room like this in the first place or offered one of these when I asked for a room change. I probably wouldn’t have bothered or felt this way about the room had I not seen what the other rooms were like but this was quite annoying as I did. also upgraded to all inclusive part way through my stay, on the last day when I had to check out the wrist band was cut at 11am when I checked out which I found disappointing as I had until 7pm to hang around for the flight and was unable to get refreshments or buffet lunch this day. I upgraded on Sunday night and check out was Thursday morning. I paid 60 euro and was told it was 12 euro per day to upgrade so think I was over charged by 1 day considering I couldn’t use it on Thursday at all apart from breakfast ( was already B&B before upgrading) All inclusive options were lacking but the food they provided was fresh and replenished regularly, local beers/wines / spirits available. However I would say overall this is a great budget hotel to stay in, I would not let this review put you off it is more feedback for the hotel based on my personal experience. It was a great deal for a cheap week away.

Excellent Hotel
Reviewed By alexdave67What a fantastic base. Comfortable and clean rooms, the only negative being the tiny shower. The food is really good and varied, even for vegetarians (but not as varied for vegans, although they do vegan butter and plant based milks). We went all inclusive and there was plenty to eat at every meal time. The local Heraklion beer is very nice and served in chilled glasses. We knew the pool was small, but we always got a sunbed when we visited the pool. The beach area is excellent, two comfy sunbeds, thick mattress and a parasol for €10. A good base for nightlife, but a 20 minute walk will take you into a little village called Koutouloufari, with Piskopiano another 5 minutes further on, both are more Greek than the commercial sea front, with plenty of traditional tavernas. The hotel has the friendliest of staff with both the gents on the bar being very helpful and the restaurant staff always hard working and cheerful.

On the ground floor of the hotel, you will find the reception and lobby. The meeting room of the hotel has a capacity of 10 persons in board room style and 18 persons when in theatre style set up.

The staff are friendly, smiley and approachable. Far enough away from the night life to get a good nights sleep but near enough if it’s what you want. Recommend for couples. Overall exceeded our expectations. We will come back!

Great hotel, but not yet equipped, still in development
Reviewed By ValdasM_12location is great, near the sea town center. The hotel rooms are perfectly equipped, but one problem is that the air conditioner is not working properly and it was necessary to call a foreman twice to fix it. Since the air conditioning central master could not help anything, it was necessary to refrigerate the room all day to be normal. Don't be fooled the hotel doesn't have an outdoor pool. The picture is misleading- external pool is for 3 rooms only very small.
