Pleasantly surprised

I had low expectations given we had just spent a week at a luxury resort with beautiful scenery but ended up being pleasantly surprised. Rooms were clean. The bed was comfortable. Staff were friendly. The restaurant was much better than a typical hotel restaurant in the US. They serve things like ceviche, burrata, grilled octopus. I was able to get traditional Costa rican breakfast items at the buffet which was cool. The shuttle was easy to take. Overall I would stay here again.

Reviewed By swift1496I stay here whilst backpacking through Costa Rica. It is located in the outskirts of Liberia. Excellent bilingual staff. The courtyard was well stocked with lots of plants and greenery. The room was great. Solid wooden furniture and clean surfaces. Breakfast was well cooked and prepared. I would definitely recommend.

Hotel is set up in a square with a beautiful pool, kiddy pool, hot tub and gardens, within walking distance to great restaurants. Rooms on lower level easier for luggage, no stairs to 2nd level. Rooms are large but sparce with chairs in room, there are 2 chairs on the patio or balcony,

Reviewed By CuatroBurrosWe stayed for 1 night and it has everything we needed. Good shower, spacious rooms and breakfast. Quiet spot despite the proximity to the main road. Staff were nice. Breakfast was simple but tasty. Nice pool too! We also had parking included.

Reviewed By Scenic597832Small no frills hotel but great customer service. Clean rooms. Dwight can speak great English and will even order your dinner for you to be delivered. We got Chinese food. If all you need is a clean room for the night then this is the place. Hotels.com says they have airport shuttle service but it will cost you $25! Beautiful cat on the property that will jump right in your lap and purr, purr, purr. Also a very friendly little dog whose name is Bruno.

CLEAN, QUIET AND FRIENDLY

Bed was comfortable, air con was great (in march) and pool, breakfast and restaurent were most appreciated. Location: quiet location perfect for family or couples. Close to a river in which you can swim. 10 kn from town. Owners even gave us a free ride to town free of charge! ****Forgot my wallet at the hotel the day of our departure and incredibly great host Jorhay took 1hr of his time to communicate with me via email and drove to the airport in order to give me back my wallet!!!*** What more can we ask from a host!? Thanks again and we will def be back!

Certainly worth it
Reviewed By Lt_HungryRoom was super clean, owners/managers very nice. As mentioned elsewhere, they do not speak English but I kinda feel like it’s on us to bridge that gap: don’t visit a Spanish speaking country if you’re not willing to learn the language, or at least be fully prepared with phrases and google translate handy. Right? My room was basic, simple, spartan, but I’ve paid way more $ in the states for less. It’s not the Hilton. Hotel looks like it’s in an odd/off path location, but it’s walking distance to bars, stores, restaurants. Would definitely return here next time.
