Lousy service
Reviewed By lasv430The service is lousy as we have waited more than 2 hours for our food to be served compared to the Caucasian that came one hour later than us but finished earlier than us. we were told that the food would not be no served after we have waited for nearly 3 hours. We felt disappointed as we were not informed earlier. We’re told to “upgrade” our rooms from 3 families rooms to 3 bungalow rooms as the rooms have been fully booked for the 2nd day. We felt cheated as the bungalows are much smaller (cannot fit 12 of us), no heater, no shower gel / shampoos, , no hanging rack, no toilet paper, the toilet cannot flush, no dustbin, etc.... we can see many insects inside the rooms like big spider, ants, etc... there is also no welcome bottles waters for our rooms. The bungalows are just near to the main road, we felt very insecure during our stay. The surrounding are dirty n very dark from bungalow to resort when we have our dinner. It is really a very unpleasant stay....

A nice hotel on the best beach ever
Reviewed By Tim-goingaroundThe Baan Chao Mai Beach House is just in the front of the Yao Beach in Trang. An absolutely beautiful beach. Not busy, clean beach and a clean sea. The Baan Chao Mai Beach House is clean, good beds and bathrooms and each room has a balcony. You wake up and jump in the sea. Breakfast is included. Two restaurants nearby and another seafood restaurant in the fisherman village nearby. If you like to relax and like beach, this is the place to go.

Like Giligan's Island
Reviewed By Robyn TA place to disconnect. Almost no internet, not much electricity and not much that you have to do. Getting there is an interesting journey itself! The huts are simple, all with the same wonderful view of the beach on a lawn littered with hermit crabs. We went scuba diving and snorkeling. There was a great restaurant along the beach and we would walk along the beach each evening for tempura prawns and calamari. So delicious! We read, reconnected and completely relaxed. A great family get-away.

Really Chill Vibes and an Authentic Thai Island Experience
Reviewed By jstdenis2018We stayed in a beach front bungalow for two nights. Amenities were basic but everything was clean and functional. The food was excellent! I highly recommend requesting the sea food BBQ: Fresh caught fish and sea food cooked on the open fire. The staff were also extraordinarily friendly and helpful. This is one of the most undeveloped islands in Thailand so don't expect the hight of luxury, but this was an ideal spot for a laidback, authentic Thai experience

Wanted to stay longer...
Reviewed By Sue DWe arrived by longtail boat from Ko Muk, onto the beach directly in front of the hotel and my first reaction was 'wow' and that feeling remained with me for our three night stay. The beach was lovely and quiet, just the occasional couple taking a stroll. It didn't have the white talcum powder sand of Ko Kradan or Ko Lipe nor their crystal turquoise waters but it did have soft sand and blue sea and tranquility. Snorkelling from the beach was good but not great. We had a beachside cabin with a ceiling fan and a mosquito net over the bed. It also had a veranda and a 'front garden' with a couple of sunbeds, and just a few steps to the beach. Perfect. Great massage beside the beach. A few little benches near the bar to watch the sun go down. Great food in the beachside open-air restaurant, complete with hermit crabs out for their evening stroll around the tables, on the beach, everywhere! We went on the dugong spotting trip offered by the hotel. The price is per boat so it is quite expensive if just the two of you but you can sign up and hope that others are also interested. We shared our boat with another couple and had a brilliant time, mainly due to our captain who was so enthusiastic about seeking out these wonderful creatures. I think our trip must have gone on for an extra hour as he wouldn't give up searching and to his immense credit, we had nine sightings. We followed one in the shallow water for a good 45 minutes. Highly recommended. Your room booklet asks you to keep windows closed to keep the monkeys out. We didn't see any monkeys but they came to visit our semi-open-air bathroom one afternoon. We found our toothpaste and body lotion behind our cabin and they'd thrown everything else into the sink! Fortunately we always kept the door locked from the bathroom into our room so they didn't get a change to raid our bedroom! Libong Relax Resort is a special place, one that stands out from the rest on our 4 week trip around Thailand. It is perfect for a get-away-from-it-all break. This was the one place that we would have loved to stay a bit longer but we already had accommodation booked in Ko Lipe so had to move on.

Mythra Mahasamuthra a small resort located in Libong Island. If you look for a private and cozy place to stay here is the place for you. Place where you can enjoy with local activities for free such as fishing with the fishermen, cooking with local etc.
Amazing place with the best location
Reviewed By gosiabudz_Modern beautiful room, new and clean, amazing view, great design, just beside nice beach and sea. Owner is very nice and helpfull, they are serving lovely coffee and the best fresh seefood. Garden and hammock place for chillout with coffee and beer and the evening. Owner helped us with transport from pier, also with trip to island with attractive price and private boat and snorkeling. At the evening we were invited for bread baking classs, amazing experience for whole family, we had so much fun there and the best was, we could eat this bread at the morning!

Short walk to beach
Reviewed By sydneysteveThis is a family run resort, very little englishspoken and the level of service can be indifferent. But the staff are friendly and will help as best they can. They can book dugong watching trips, around the island boat/bike tours and boat transfers. There are 2 superior king rooms of circular construction. Somebody obviously thought circular construction was a good idea. Spacious inside with average lighting and some hanging space but no shelving to place clothes. The bedhead was like a shelf so I used that. Power points beside the bed. The aircon was quiet and worked well. The bed was firm with clean linen. The bathroom is not completely enclosed so the odd mozzie is not to be unexpected. Separate shower area with water heater and good water pressure. Two bath towels provided but no hand towels. The pipe under the basin leaked water. The terrace is elevated and one has to take a big step up. Some elderly people and young toddlers may find this difficult. They really need to add a step. Like most family owned accommodations throughout Thailand ongoing maintenance is not a priority andhere is no different. My one criticism was the cable TV. I travel solo and only book hotels with cable (where possible) TV. After I checked in I found the TV was not working. I was advised that monkeys had broken the cable connection to the resort.. How long there has been no TV or when it will get repaired who knows. Though you will continue to see cable TV advertised on online booking sites whereas there should be a Please Note: cable TV currently unavailable. It's like booking a hotel with a pool but when you get there you find out there is no water in the pool. Overall, putting the staff to one side, I cannot say anything is special as everything is basic.
