Reviewed By Joe YFor the occasion of our 15 years anniversary in June 2022 we decided to celebrate it at Grecotel Margo bay at Halkidiki, Greece, it us our pleasure to share in details our experience at this marvelous esteem hotel. ● As soon we entered the hotel we were recieved and greeted with a smile from Ms. Vefa the front desk manager, Vefa and Mr. Lazaros, and Mr. Micheal at the front desk officers who were following continuously our accommodation status concerning comfort and well being. ● Immediately we met Mrs. Sandy the customer relation manager who worked too hard to make our stay so comfort and full of excitement and surprises, I believe this lady is your professional guide and support to any request and inquiries inside and outside of the hotel. ● We booked a full week with half board, Breakfast was so delicious, rich and tempting with many varieties of hot, cold, fresh Juices, seasonal fresh fruits, pastries, and on demand cooking station. Dinner buffet, was another story, as many and much varieties of cold, hot dishes, includes fish, lamb, beef, sea food plenty of fresh salads, fresh fruits and fresh pastries, each night most of the menu are happening in different flavours and tastes. I here want to thank all the staff from the ladies who make the preparation and display of the buffet, insuring that not one single item is being missed from the counters, As for the service it was amazing, as all our requests were implemented in seconds, I would like here to thank Mr. Georgios Tegos and his lovely wife Liana, and all their team who was working very efficiently, to meet all our requests. In conclusion our stay was absolutely great full of excitements, all the staff and personnel of the hotel works as a team with one target to make the customers happy and enjoy their stay. Never the less, we would like to also thank Mr. Jemmy the front beach in charge with many talents, who was doing a great Job, Antonous, and Nikos at the the club Turquoise restaurant, we hope we didn't forget any person. Finally, a FIVE Stars for the Hygiene and cleaning of the hotel as you move around you can find antibacterial dispensers. I forgot to mention the infinity pool and the white sand beach which were much tempting continuously, We should also and important to mention the quality of the hotel guests were amazing, they help in making your vacation a memorable one. If you are planning to visit Halkidiki, and looking for great hospitality and comfort, you should definitely select staying at Gercotel Margo Bay . Reviewed By Linda RHalkidiki is just lovely, beautiful beaches and swimming in a blue flag beach was just fabulous. The hotel was just so disappointing, this is without a doubt not 4* by any means, as already mentioned 2/3*. The gardens are beautiful and well kept but it was just a bit too lacking everywhere else. Apart from the chap who helped with the cases and the girl serving at the pool bar, and the girl in the restaurant the rest of the hotel staff were possibly the most rude and surly people I have ever encountered in a hotel environment. We even witnessed a set too in the taverna on the Greek night which was the only entertainment provided by the hotel manager dancing himself. My husband went in to settle the bill, we moved table to be with friends then, to our utter embarrassment were accused of not paying, luckily I had the payment evidence at hand on my phone, but leaves a bad taste after. The service wasn’t the best and you get what your given. After ordering, potatoes I was told there was only chips so agreed to that then rice arrived! In the room we waited three days for them to fill the soap dispenser to wash our hands and shower gel, I actually dismantled them and left the empty bottles to get them refilled. The room wasn’t very clean itself and very tired decor. No kettle, no bathrobes, shocking wi-fi and definitely not sound proof by any means, we could hear people in the bathroom on both sides. Around the pool is a sparing amount of sun beds and this is for a reason, they think people are daft, because you have to go to the beach and pay €20 a day, day one we paid, didn’t get a receipt because the paper wasn’t working in the machine (yeah, heard that a few times in town too) and we all know where that went! From that day forward we paid by card. If you like to pay €12 for 2 mediocre coffees €6 a pint while down there, it leaves another bad taste. Don’t rush back upstairs tho as the pool is shut off at 6pm, even the little babies in there were chucked out and chains up. I know it takes a while for the cleaning, filtering but are you sure? 6pm in the summer season? Don’t have any illusions of watching any TV in English either as there is one BBC news channel, the other 30 are German and Greek. Breakfast is interesting too kidney beans and carrots! Could this be leftovers from the evening meal? I am so pleased we were breakfast only, the surly staff and not able to serve yourself, having to ask for salt and pepper as none on the table was a joke. The best thing about this hotel is the efficient taxi service out of there into the nearest town.

Lovely and relaxing vacation
Reviewed By zizou5_javapalmeWe had a great experience at the Villa D’Oro. The staff is super friendly and is more than happy to assist in any way. We got an upgrade without asking and we stayed at one of the Villas on the hillside with a private pool. The view is breathtaking (especially at sunrise during breakfast) and the interior is quite lovely. We didn’t use the private beach because of the weather. Only thing that needs to be fixed is the driveway to the hotel (dirt road). Besides that, it was a great few days and we would absolutely recommend the hotel any time.

Lovely apartments but a few complaints
Reviewed By Traveler630591Me and my partner stayed here for a week. The apartment we stayed in 259 was beautiful. Really clean and everyday when we put the hanging sign out for the room to be cleaned they were always clean- fresh bedding and towels. However, they did not clean or replace cutlery which was used . Ie cups and glasses. We had a kettle also, however there was no coffee or tea bags. We went down to the reception to ask and we could see come tea bags in the restaurant areas and we asked if we could have some and the man behind reception acted like he didn’t know what we was on about and said no basically and was very blunt. The swimming pool and surrounding area is lovely and the food is really nice. However, one of the days we sat around the pool and we had a can of coke which we brought with us and a member of staff came over and told us we could not have this and all drinks have to be purchased at the bar. You can’t even bring your own drinks or water to the pool. So we went to the local supermarket and bought some water bottles and filled them up with our own cocktails as cocktails also at the bar are €10 each!!! And watered down!! The town is literally a two minute walk and everything is within close reach. There are beautiful restaurants with lovely food. Greek people are so friendly and nice too! If you stay here in Hanioti I recommend you book an excursion especially BLUE LAGOON it was AMAZING. You go on a pirate ship and you got around the he coast and visit 3 different beaches and they stop so you can swim in the water and swim to the beach. The man who own the boat is very funny and witty and makes the experience very funny! It’s €38 and you also get lunch on the boat too. I think apart from the downfalls of the staff and legislations Hanioti is a beautiful place and the hotel is placed in the perfect spot! Also please book the superior apartments as if you book the standard which we neatly did as it wasn’t clear you get the old rooms which a very dated. There is different parts of the hotel which is new and old.

The staff ensure that you are well looked after and provide table service for food and drinks whether you are by the pool or at the beach. They really work hard in this hotel and all are super friendly! The breakfast was lovely everyday and the food to order was just as nice here as anywhere else in hanioti. The service is amazing. The evening meals weren’t as popular with our children but that because our children our fussy so we ate out 6 of 7 nights but the meals to order the children loved. Our room was well equipped and the hotel Is in a perfect location to walk into the square on an evening. The beach is lovely and the service is just as good at the beach as it is anywhere else in the hotel. You will Probably need water / beach shoes for the beach as quite stoney but otherwise lovely. Overall a fab time and we were made to feel so welcome. The lads working the bar and bringing out the food worked non stop in the immense heat as did all of the other staff. We would come back here. My only criticism is the seating around the pool could really do with sun loungers rather than the reclining deck chair type seats otherwise you are constantly sunning the front of you to have a sunlounger you need to go to the beach which my children always wanted to be in the pool. We have had a lovely time here at this hotel and would definitely think about coming back

Reviewed By Lindylou1321What an amazing stay we had, Thomas and his staff could not do enough for us. My other half is disses and Thomas did everything he could to ensure our stay was perfect. Maria and Dion behind the bar were such fun and we're happy to help. My other half had a good couple of bar nights with Dion. What more can I say except they were fully booked when we wanted to bring our teenage Daughter in August. To sum up would we go again.... in a heartbeat so highly recommended 5 stars not enough. Oh one last thing our waitress and I think her name was Stella what a Ray of sunshine. So from Les Pallett and Linda White well done Thomas, Maria and all your staff.

Faultless stay
Reviewed By michaelhI7774KZStayed for 5 nights Monday to Saturday with partner, arrived after midnight and check in was very quick and easy, shown up to our room which was very nice, decent size, spotlessly clean and very modern. Reception area is very clean and comfortable. Room was cleaned daily, safe was no additional charge and also complimentary toiletries in the bathroom. Pool area was always clean, good quality sun beds and always able to get a sun bed each day. Pool bar drinks were good, cocktails good and food good. Short 5-10 minute walk to beach and local supermarket and a little further for the main bulk of restaurants and bars. The location is far enough away of the hustle and bustle but close enough too. Staff always friendly and helpful. Breakfast alway had plenty of choice each morning and was nice and tasty. I’ve stayed at a few places in Greece and I’d have to put this at the top. A faultless stay and would highly recommend. I can’t think of any negative points at all.
