What a Dump!
Reviewed By dab107On the positive side, this is the heart of Thailand and the staff are just wonderful in every way. We enjoyed glorious sunrises from our large, clean room. The mattress and pillows were of good quality. Water pressure was great and wifi worked fine. BUT! The hotel is so run down, with blistered paint and dirty walls. Breakfast was the worst, eggs and hot dogs every day. The television should be in a museum, and has poor reception on every channel. The shower operates in three modes: scalding, freezing or scalding with bursts of freezing. There is an excellent chef, but no western food options in spite of the menu and with few guests, many of the Thai options were also not available. If you can forego the swimming pool, there are a few new hotels in Kalasin that are better options.

Reviewed By mark lThis hotel is casual upon entry with no further improvements witnessed. Foyer hot no aircon - front reception attitude needs remodelling. Rooms starting to age need some sprucing up. Aircon beds shower ok. Balcony worse for wear birds nest in aircon was interesting! Still Ok option @ B650 is Phaiboon.

Outskirts of town
Reviewed By sydneysteveLocated on a main road on the outskirts of town. You need transport to and from. The lady owner arranged my taxis and tuk tuks. She even came and picked me up from The Ricemill Market when I couldn't get a taxi/tuk tuk back. Very much appreciated. She also directed me to a reputable silk shop (who gave me a discount) in town so I could purchase a scarf made from praewa silk which is very expensive. I was surprised at the size of my Superior double room. Everything worked fine and clean throughout.The bed was firmish but cosy. Even though my room was at the front corner there is very little traffic beyond 9pm. I slept well. The bathroom was segregated (though bad segregation design) but the bathroom was large enough it didn't cause any problem. Excellent hot water and pressure. They have menus in the room which you can order from and your meals are delivered to your room. Plenty of parking for those with a vehicle. Not sure about their wifi because I always travel with an internet plan. I enjoyed my stay here.

Reviewed By jthanmaRoom was fine, room was comfortable and clean but with broken shower knob. I left my favorite T shirt and went back to get it in an hour but hotel refused to take responsibility. Very disappointed overall!!!

Reviewed By Dom21076Great check-in process (COVID19 secure) with very friendly staff. The room was exactly as described: pretty big, super clean and comfortable with good bathroom. Breakfast was good with a choice of Asian dishes which proved to be quite tasty. Overall, we were very happy with our choice of hotel n Kalasin. Very good value. Highly recommended!

Reviewed By Kevin SI stayed in this place on my road trip in the Isan area. And it turned to be a very good stay. The weather was cold in December, but the nice host gave me two thick blankets. That was really thoughtful of her. She showed me the room and showed me how everything worked. The wifi was strong and worked very well. The bed was hard, but that is normal in Thailand. The room was clean and the bathroom was good with all the necessities I needed. Thanks for the 3-in-1 coffee in the morning before I moved on with my trip. That woke me up. All in all, a good and affordable stay when passing by the Kalasin province.
