Regina and the team are the most courteous hosts and nothing you ask for is a problem. Thoroughly recommend a visit, it won’t disappoint. With the monastery and excellent traditional local restaurants so close, you will experience true Italy. Reasonably priced, offering great value for money, we will definitely return in 2020!

Reviewed By simox111We booked to stay 5 nights at hotel solemar. The pictures looked good, but upon arriving it was clear they had been flattering to deceive. Check in was rather chaotic, the hotel was clearly understaffed and most had poor customer relations skills, preferring to defer any and all questions to a polite but overworked young lady on the front desk. there were also many raucous teenagers who were left unsupervised and despite the complaints of a few guests the hotel did nothing. The location of the hotel was good and very central for shops and restaurants, but the hotel overall was extremely disappointing, the breakfast was of poor quality and process was again rather chaotic where guests were expected to queue in a small hall way, where it was not easy to social distance and the process was rather drawn out. The view from the hotel is definitely one of the hotels strengths but overall Hotel Solemar is simply over priced for what it delivers .

L’ambiente era climatizzato. La colazione su una bellissima terrazza con diverse varietà di cibi ( brioche, muffin e tanta frutta). La proprietaria si è presentata in modo gentile e accogliente. Great place to stay in Ischia
Reviewed By chilyn1Nice clean modern rooms on the main pedestrian street of Ischia Porto full of boutiques, cafes and restaurants. Close also to the beach and walking distance to the impressive Castello Aragonese. Breakfast is taken at a nearby cafe/ bar with lots of additional menu items. Humberto the host was charming. Altogether a wonderful experience on a beautiful island.

Al piano superiore c’è una terrazza dove si può stendere piccoli indumenti e dove si può prendere il sole. Molto carina, sopratutto la vista sul porto di Ischia. Colazione da migliorare

TERRIBILE, puzza di muffa e sporcizia
Reviewed By Naty12345678901La stanza era molto sporca, a terra c’era molta polvere e molto sporco, gli asciugamani che ci hanno dato erano delle tovaglie leggerissime e uno di questi era sporco di marrone.. quindi inutilizzabile. Inoltre il water non aveva l’asse, quindi si rischiava di caderci dentro, e comunque non è una cosa molto igienica.. Un altro problema era la puzza di muffa, essendo che la camera non aveva finestre che davano verso l’esterno ma solo verso l’interno del palazzo (che praticamente cade a pezzi) non c’era riciclo d’aria e si è creata un’umidità terribile con un grande odore di muffa che a me dava molto fastidio di notte ma anche di giorno. Inoltre il fatto che la camera fosse estremamente umida, facilitava la presenza di insetti, ci siamo trovati varie volte e a vedere ragni in camera e sopratutto uno che usciva dalla doccia!! Mi dispiace fare una recensione del genere perché ero molto entusiasta di venire ad alloggiare qui, ma purtroppo sono rimasta delusa e disgustata, non la consiglio…

Reviewed By Arthur EWE PAID FOR TWO NIGHTS FOR NOTHING! We booked and paid in advance a room for May 2020, but because of Covid-19 lockdown we had to cancel. We understand that this is a difficult time but the owner barely answered when we asked for a solution, and now he simply does not answer anymore. As a result, we paid for two nights for nothing! A really disappointing experience, I've never seen such a bad way to deal with customers' requests. It gives a very bad image of the owners.

It is a taste of true Italian elegance, cool marble and a calm atmosphere despite scorching temperatures outside! The meals are a delight, served by happy, efficient and friendly staff. The welcome from Reception is warm, and all necessary information is given. The spotlessly clean rooms all seem to have balconies and though small, ours looked out over the pool and port. The thermal pools are well maintained and a real pleasure to use with aqua jets and a waterfall. The location is just perfect, right on the main street, with bars and up market shops all around, yet it is really quiet in the gardens! So convenient for the beach too, this hotel has it all! We intend to book for next year before we leave!
