Wonderful Hotel
Reviewed By Don HThe Langham Palace is a great hotel with beautifully appointed rooms and very nice selection of Chinese and Western foods at the breakfast buffet. I had a bit of a problem with my booking and the front office management took care of it very efficiently. The air conditioning was absolutely perfect and there was no noise from the fan which in many hotels can be quite loud. The bed was also very comfortable. I'd like to give the general manager, Mr Clay Zhao special thanks for making sure that my stay was enjoyable. I look forward to my stay in Langham Place when I return to Haining.

Reviewed By PeteonderwegThe hotel has for sure it's best times behind it. Poor wifi connection, rooms were dirty. We arrived late, but still could order off the menu at 22:30 which was good, unfortunately the food was below par. Breakfast was plentiful, mostly Chinese style, but low on quality.

Reviewed By John ZOn a three night stay, I returned to my room the second day to find the entire hallway stinking of chemical fumes. I rested in my room for an hour between meetings and awoke to find my room smelling even stronger than the hall of the chemicals. My nose and chest were burning and I felt dizzy and nauseous. The smell seemed to be some type of noxious chemical substance. My business partner staying in the room next to mine had the same experience. We had a dinner meeting with a client and were unable to eat for fear of getting sick. Upon return we complained to the manager and they denied any issue, but did offer to move us. We asked for a concession and the manager on duty said something about 'painting the floors nearby'. Clearly there was no painting going on. They offered only one room free of charge instead of two despite there being a problem with two. Interestingly they also offered to the us to the hospital and cover any medical bills. (For paint alleged paint fumes?) Clearly they knew there was a much more serious problem. In addition to health concerns, this also cost me lost time with my customers. I would not recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. Management was totally unreasonable in dealing with this problem that could have been easily solved. Additionally, whole floors of the building looked as though they had been abandoned for months. Garbage and construction debris was lying about these empty areas. Also, the gym which the sign instructed was to open at 7 am was kept locked for the entirety of my trip. Bottom line, there are much better places to stay in Haining.

Good hotel for good value
Reviewed By Hugues SAs a frequent traveler around the world and in China for more then 15 times I’m used to the Chinese 4 or 5 stars upcountry. This one is for sure one of the quietest I had. Rooms are not that big but not noisy as usually in this kind of hotel. Breakfast is ok. I can recommend.

Recently renovated and upgraded with a spacious reception area and big rooms all with basic amenities you need for a comfortable stay. About an hour's drive from Hangzhou Xiaoshan Airport. Breakfast is OK with traditional Chinese foods on offer. Rooms are clean and neat. Did not encounter any noise issue. Complimentary wireless is adequate for medium load user like me.

Reviewed By NightGuyFLIMIn the quiet city of Haining, Zhejiang, China lies this hidden gem. Garden Hotel is an old hotel according to a friend of mine. Safe to say that it didn't felt old because of the renovation works, since the facilities looked new! We were pleased with the receptionists who offered us an early check in at 8AM at no extra charge. They were very helpful with directions, taxi bookings, and luggage storage. The room that I had was a reasonably-priced basic room with two twin beds in it. Room was very clean. Even though it wasn't located on the top floor, it did felt very quiet. For guests who have issues with smoking, it might take a while to get used to the faint smoke smell in the hotel. Most hotels in China do not implement no-smoking policies, and smoke smell is part of the culture. With its convenient location, pleasant staff, and well-maintained rooms, looks like staying here for future visits is a good option.
