Reviewed By jeffygWe stayed here last year with little complaint, so decided to give it another go. This time round was pretty similar to the last. Arriving by car once again, Le Palme is very easy to get to from the motorway. We did not make use of the basement parking (which is an additional charge) but chose to park out the front in the street. It was easy enough to find parking each night and for some reason there was an army presence at the hotel while we were there, which saw two army vehicles out the front and personal in the lobby at all times. A special guest must have been staying - celebrity, politician? We didn't know but the car was certainly safe in the street!! The room was the same as last year - we may have even been in the exact same room - and once again, the size was ok with enough space for three of us in a triple, but the bathroom is very small and the shower is difficult to manoeuvre in because its so tiny. But, it was spotlessly clean and that is the most important thing, as was the room in general. The wifi was also good with a strong signal, but it was based on the floor of our room, so we had difficulty using wifi whilst in the breakfast room. Breakfast staff were warm and friendly, but the reception staff this year were not as quite as warm as I remember previously. The breakfast is still pretty basic, but its enough to start the day. The croissants were great however, and we were always asked if there was anything in particular we would like. We will no doubt be back in Gioia Tauro again some time in the future. I have no serious compliant about this hotel, so no reason not to go back, but there is no wow factor, which makes me wonder if i might explore what other options are available in town. I suspect theres not much else that is equivalent, which means we will probably be back again, and once again, without complaint.

Reviewed By Chiara HThe B&B has very comfortable rooms. They are spacious and well decorated. The bathroom is well appointed and has all you need. The rooms are quiet and the beds are cozy. The breakfast was very good, with fresh, locally made brioche a day a selection of juices, although there was limited seating in the breakfast area. The host Pasquale is communicative and welcoming. We would definitely stay here again if we ever return to Gioia Tauro.

Reviewed By Tiptoe4We were in Gioia Tauro to visit my cousins and stayed 12 nights at Donna Nina B&B. Our room was immaculate every day and our bed was made to perfection! (Better than any regular hotel) Ms. Nina made us a wonderful generous breakfast every morning! My husband likes his salami and cheese in his omelet and Ms. Nina made it for him and she quickly provided extra orange juice for him when asked. She was friendly and helpful and was flexible when we needed to sleep in and didn't mind if we took our breakfast to room on tray. She provided extra towels etc when needed right away. She tried so hard to communicate and make us feel very comfortable despite the language barrier. The only two issues we had was the size of the shower in our room, which was small for us but she offered to move us to another room when one became available but we decided to stay in same room and manage. The other issue was the home remodel construction behind us that our window faced but Ms. Nina had no control over that. it was quiet even when all rooms were full. Ms. Nina was super sweet (as was her helper) and I cannot say enough how clean this B & B was. We would definitely stay there again and the view from the balcony of the sea and sunsets was just beautiful!

Reviewed By steve_sR7746YPi stayed at the bed breakfast I travelled from the uk a friend booked me in I did not know what to expect the building was clean and the lady who served breakfast was friendly even though she couldn't speak english at breakfast time there was no English breakfast we ask about having some egg on toast and they agreed but on the next day we had no egg on toast the owner of the building was always moaning about he could smell smoke from one of the rooms and that someone was leaving the doors open he also complained about noise and try having a go at me about the things I have mentioned above as if It was my fault and I don't smoke .I would like to say that he stressed me out so much that I wanted to leave the bed breakfast as the owner doesn't know how to treat engish people who pay money to stay ,they don't cater for familys the outside the b n b was filthy rubbish and bin bags all over the streets shops all smashed .I feel that they to take a course in hospitality and that would help them have a success full business I would never go there again

Regarding the hotel is a nice accomodation: very clean and I have found almost everything quite perfect. A location that I strongly suggest to foreigners and Italians visiting Gioia Tauro. In the future of i Will come again I have already my place where to go !

B&B Orchidea is a newly built structure with style and elegance, welcomes its customers in total safety in compliance with all the measures in place of COVID-19: sanitation of rooms and linen, common areas, thermometers available, hand disinfectants positioned in the reception and in each room and equipment of masks for guests. The B&B Orchidea is located in an excellent position for travelers, about 500m from the seafront and about 800m from the center and the railway station of the city of Gioia Tauro. Puntuali, disponibili, cortesi, amichevoli, posto pulitissimo. Come plus, avere uno dei proprietari che chiacchiera con te mente ti prepara il caffè per colazione è stata una bella esperienza. I proprietari di una gentilezza e disponibilità estrema. Eravamo in 11 e nonostante fossimo arrivati alle 11 di sera, abbiamo avuto l’opportunità di cenare nella loro enoteca trattoria di Vico Scuro posizionata di fronte al B&B. Piatti squisiti. Alla mattina avevamo l’esigenza di partire molto presto e si sono organizzati per prepararci un’abbondante colazione con tanto di torte appena sfornate. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.
