Reviewed By Snort2Stayed here first week of May 2022. The two of us stayed in a room that slept 4 people. There was only one coffee cup and one coffee packet and one glass. We asked for two coffee cups and two coffee packets the first morning. The maid delivered them. After the room was made up, one coffee cup and one packet again. We again asked for two. We never got them. Very cheap practice, The shower had mold in the ceiling tiles! The safe didn’t work. No smart TV. Towels were well beyond there life span! Gave up asking for two glasses. But, great location. We stayed here in 2019 in a superior king room in the section that has been renovated. We had no issues then. Recommend to stay in the renovated part of this hotel.

We spent one night here and took advantage of the swimming pool in the afternoon and early morning. Location is brilliant too , very central and also close to the coast. Hotel rooms are beautifully decorated in various colours like Campeche buildings. They are spacious and high ceilings too. Would highly recommend

Friendly staff that actually speak decent English. Rooms had what we needed and nothing more. The major downside was the noise from construction going on on the roof and noise from the hallways. Seemed as we could hear everything going on in the hotel. Another downside is that the hotel doesn’t have a restaurant for breakfast. It was okay our first day because the main street is just around the corner, but with an early pickup the second day we were in a hurry because we had to find a restaurant outside the hotel for breakfast

Reviewed By mimi54367A Beautiful Casona with a great renovation, they way they did the pools is unique and gorgeous. The people are friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the pools are ice cold, and the wifi is not very good.. the room didn’t have a refrigerator… and took 2 complaints to get it put in. Also there was a mix up on the reservation we asked for 2 beds, but we got a kingsize bed and they wanted to charge us extra for a cot bed..

Perfect location, colonial charm, great value
Reviewed By MECindylouI looked at a lot of hotels when choosing where to stay in Campeche. We wanted something quiet, but well-located for exploring the historic center. Since we were driving, dedicated free parking was also important. Hotel Castelmar met all these criteria and exceeded our expectations. The people at the desk were helpful and cordial, the property was immaculate and super charming. A room, a superior double, cost around US$43 a night, and what a value that was! The room was large with two double beds, an updated and roomy bathroom (with scented toilet paper!), plush towels, and upscale amenities. The A/C and ceiling fan were quiet. Beds had good mattresses and nice linens. We never heard a peep from outside or from another room. Breakfast was not included, but was very reasonably priced and of generous portions. The pool, in an interior courtyard, isn't heated, so it was a bit brisk, but it was a nice break from the 90° heat. The parking lot is large with plenty of spaces, some with shade, and there's someone there to guard the cars and confirm you are a hotel guest. Covid protocols were in place, and we felt very safe. Highly recommended!

Reviewed By ANGOLIXI stayed here for about 10 days while I didn't have my apartment ready. The room is very spacious with all the conditions of other hotels with more stars. I used the hotel's restaurant as well as the bar, very attentive service in both, 5 star staff.

The hotel is located on the Malecon in Campeche, one of the main tourist areas of the city, 15 minutes by taxi from " Alberto Acuna Ongay " International Airport , 5 minutes from the Historical Center and 2 minutes walk from the Convention Center " Campeche Siglo XXI " , Artisan Bazaar and major restaurants . It offers guests spectacular sea views from our comfortable rooms. We are also the only hotel with tennis courts. The hotel offers continental breakfast, shuttle service APT-HTL-APT and wifi for free.

Reviewed By westminster2A nice enough hotel in a good location with an easy walk to the main town centre sights. Our room wasite small but perfectly adequate, though you wouldn;t want very long legs when using the loo! There isn't a lift. Our room overlooked the street in Campeche where all the lively bars are but, in the event with the air conditioning on, we weren't disturbed by the noise. There were few smiles from the front desk staff.

Our suite, and 1st floor balcony seating area overlooking the interior courtyard were excellent. Staff were always friendly and attentive and the breakfast in the courtyard was very good. But the pool and surrounding area we somewhat minimalist.

Pool was great and breakfast options was enough to start the day. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Rooms are small and consist of double beds but for a couple of nights it’s ok; don’t have high expectations and you’ll be fine.
