The room (a small annex with own parking and little terrasse) was well equipped, and the service and breakfast was the best I’ve experienced in a long time. You instantly feel welcome at Hotel Løkken Strand.

A very nice stop on our way North
Reviewed By pepo-gtWhile travelling North to reach Norway we stopped by Lokken for the night. The place is the perfect spot for summer vacation, but even if we were there at the end of September (on a gloomy day) we liked it very much. The big plus is the breakfast! One of the best "Scandinavian breakfast I ever had! Very nice!

Reviewed By 907krzysztofnWe were a bit afraid reading some reviews. Luckily, nothing wrong confirmed. Great offer at a reasonable price. Supricelly, drinks to dinners were free and without any limit. Some people took one bottle of white wine and one bottle of red wine per couple. Local liqueur tastes fantastic together with morning coffee. We can recommend short walk to the EKKO - art construction - about 15 minutes from the hotel.

Reviewed By MagnusTajetWe needed a place to stay near Hirtshals when we were going to catch a ferry at the end of Denmark's holiday, and chose this place. Both adults and children were very pleased with this choice. A quiet area, well away from the highway. Something that gave us the opportunity to relax, gather energy, exercise, and sleep well before moving on to the next adventure. As guests of this property we got to use both the fitness center and other activities such as table tennis, mini basketball ring and fooseball. Although there was no air conditioning in the room, it was no problem to sleep with the window open. The room was large, accommodating all 4. The bathroom was huge with a great shower. Although not luxurious and sparsely furnished, this was more than good enough to for everyone. The beds were good and the sleep quality was excellent. We paid extra for breakfast but it was not worth the money. There was ample parking outside, which was free. If I return to this area of Denmark, I will again choose this hotel.

Reviewed By GGlen78Rooms are bit on the cold side, even in summer. Staff in the restaurant are unable or unwilling to answer several questions about the hotel, as apparently they are not employed by the hotel. Was informed that brunch would be served in the morning, but was dissapointed that this did not include champagne/cocktails. This was probably down to a cultural misunderstanding, as being British, my expectations of brunch were that it is a meal served from 10 am, and includes champagne/cocktails. In Denmark, 'brunch' just means a large breakfast served until lunchtime.

This place has real potential but appears to cater mainly for large functions and can be very busy at time. We enjoyed our stay here, the rooms were clean and tidy though a funny drain smell was present through out the say in our room and the TV did not work. Stay here but don't expect any bell's or whistles it is what it is. This hotel is not good if your not steady on your feet as there are lots of stairs and no-lifts.

Reviewed By FreMiFraWe chose this place because it is near to Frederikshavn (and to Hirtshals), where our ferry left in the morning, and it is a lot cheaper than hotels in Frederikshavn. This is an old farm house, the rooms are small and offer no luxury. The common bath room, though, is very large. The site is completely quiet. The place can be hard to find, you better follow the instructions to get there carefully. The host, Brit, is very friendly and helpful. For a little extra, she offers breakfast in the morning. You can arrange both the time and the contents of that breakfast with her. A very pleasant experience!
