Fabulous Stay at bright and comfortable Tents by the Riverside!!
Reviewed By 64anikasBarot Valley is one of the most picturesque places in Himachal I have visited . It is still comparatively unexploited by tourism, unlike other towns like Manali, Shimla , Dharamshala , Bir etc. Our overall trip was fabulous and so was the stay at River Retreat Camp. One can spot this vivid campsite faraway from top upon entering Barot. The vehicle reached right at campsite so even senior citizens and young children can access it. On arrival ,we were welcomed by the site of vibrant yellow tents amidst lush greenery , chirping birds and the Uhl river flowing right next to the campsite . Tents were comfortable -big tents have sleeping capacity for 4 persons . There are smaller tents too .Washroom is there in tent , for bathing they have separate area . Neat and clean place . In kitchen they make everything from scratch so allow some time for serving . Crisp Breeze , soothing music , bonfire at night , Maggi with ginger tea ,fresh trout for dinner made it a memorable stay for our family . It was a welcome change from the usual hotels and resorts !! (PS ...it's a steep road down so be sure your driver is expert in hill driving )

Though I booked it for a day only, but the beauty and hospitality of this place made me extend this trip for a week. The staff is super warm and is always excited and happy to help you. I would highly recommend this place for long stays and adventurous trips as there’s a lot to explore here. The vibe and energy of this place cannot be defined in words. I would suggest you to visit this place to experience it.

Located at beautiful location on top of phula dhar the property offers clean and well kept rooms with huge windows offering panoramic view of Himalayas. The place is away from usual cacophony of regular tourist places is surrounded by deodar and oak jungles. One can venture into taking so many pure treks overlooking Kangra Valley incl barot view. Moonlit nights are heavenly. Drive to the property is full of adventure. A must visit place, owner takes detailed care of guests.
