Great location, large rooms
Reviewed By ja55eThe location is very central, the beach and all of its offerings are just a short walk away. Rooms were spacious, beds were very comfortable to sleep in. Breakfast was tasty and fairly good selection. Make sure to find out where not to park. The friendly hotel staff will help you with this. There is very limited amount of parking places.

Tasty coffee and cheese at the breakfast and such a lovely hostess, excellent speaking on French and English! Very clean and fresh bed's linens and there is a home scales. I was enjoying everyday of my staying here!

Joy bed and breakfast is located on the hill of Albissola in a charming district from where you can enjoy a breathtaking view over the sea and the beaches of the gulf. It offers his clients a cozy and friendly atmosphere perfectioned by many years of experience in tourism. The rooms are comfortable and decorated with an artistic style. Each room has a tv, free wifi and a mini-bar. You can have your breakfast in the dining room where you find a kettle for making your tea or infusion. The breakfast consists of "focaccia", jam , milk , orange juice and handmade cakes, to satisfy all your tastes. We also welcome the needs vegan diets, if told in advance. If you like reading books or just love relaxing we have beach chairs in our lovely garden. It is really easy to reach the town centre , it takes just five minutes by foot from the Joy. Joy offers a private free car park.

Reviewed By Culture99520I am so glad I stumbled upon this incredible place! one night was definitely not emough, I will be sure to return! it's truly a corner of paradise with stunning sea views, its very own art gallery, beautifully decorated rooms and a breakfast to die (with plenty of chices for everyone), not to mention the amazing roof terrace from which to admire the sea. Excellent communication with owner Pamela, who is not only friendly but super helpful, giving me plenty of insider's tips as to where to find the best local food and art and how get around. The location is perfect, a short walk from Albisola Marina historic centre but just away from the crowds, which makes for a peaceful night's sleep and wonderfully clean air. the bed was big and comfiortable and the bathroom spacious and very stylish, and everything was spotlessly clean. The whole place oozes charm and style, mixing modern and local tradition perfectly - It's amazing value for money, and for an artist like me, it was a real treat! I cannot recommend it enough

Reviewed By cm94aanLikes: The host. The hotel is a one man show, host Alessandro was super friendly and helpful. Welcomed us well and gave us tips about the area. Thats the only great thing I'd say about the hotel. Dis-Likes: (1) Location: Around 500 metres from the beach that I'd say super busy and not a sandy beach at all. The beach looked artificially created, mix of stones & crushed stone (aka artificial sand). The hotel is up hill, so be ready for a good up hill walk. Further 500 metres up hill is the main hospital of the area (massive negative point when it comes to traffic). (2) Traffic: What seems like a quiet road in map is as noisy as a motorway at night, when there are noisy scooters & (some) car drivers are reving vehicles uproad to hospitals and houses up the hill. (3) Locals in area: Be ready for loud people walking around making noises at 2 or 3 am in morning, but worry not if its summer you won't be sleeping anyway. (4) Ventilation: None in the room, no fans provided, and we were unable to sleep all night due to sweat and feelings like lying in sauna. I bought a fan for kids so at least they could sleep. Leaving a window fully open was an option due to vicious mosquitos. (5) Bathroom: You can see in pictures. It was dated, moulds can be seen in the shower. Bathroom needs serious refurbishing. The dangerous bit is the electric outlet in the bathroom that was almost coming off the wall. Massive negative point. (6) Cleaning: Acceptable, not brilliant, just acceptable. (7) Breakfast: Crossiants, some corn flakes, coffee (different kinds). No hot product or meat / bread etc. No fruits. (8) WiFi: Never worked (but if you are from EU, you can use your own data allowance). (9) Parking: Only available for two cars, and finding a parking on street can be issue (specially if you have a bigger vehicle). --- Important: I booked the hotel for 9 (nine) nights and only stayed 4 (four) nights, it was a financial loss for me but it was unbearable for my family to stay there, so we decided to move to a different town to a better hotel.

One hundred meters to both beach and shopping area. Me and my wife were excited with the accommodation and will definitely return there again.

Asked front desk at check in when music would be finished as was excessively loud inside but he could not even bother to check - just excuses. When Hotels.com requested reservation canceled (made one hour prior) hotel refused! Why bother to use such unprofessional hotels and staff when there are so many choices?

Reviewed By Martina PAntonio è stato un ottimo padrone di casa fin dal primo incontro, è riuscito a soddisfare tutte le nostre esigenze (parcheggio, orari, colazione per la nostra amica celiaca e ogni altra richiesta). La villa si trova a pochi metri dal mare, comodissima anche per il centro, direi un piccolo gioiellino. Dispone anche di una piscina bellissima dove si organizzano piacevoli serate il sabato sera (noi stessi abbiamo fatto apericena prima di uscire). Che dire, ci ritorneremo sicuramente! Complimenti per la cordialità e ospitalità!
