lovely location off the beaten path

lovely location, very off the beaten path in a village on aegina that has minimal touristy BS. hotel is beautifully decorated with no frills, with normal people around and the host notis is there to answer any and all questions you have. some nice locations to swim and places to eat fresh seafood, or notis will whip up a delicious homecooked meal for you too. recommend having a car or scooter if you want to but if you want to go to the temple of aphaia or move around the island (there is a bus 3-4 times a day to aegina port) but if you want to just swim eat and chill/read it is perfect and if you need to work the patio garden is lovely to sit in for hours and hours.

A hidden gem

We were blown away by how beautiful the pool area was. We stayed 5 days and we will definitely be coming back. Room looked newly renovated. Fantastic shower and very comfortable bed. Air-conditioning and a mini fridge available in the room. Our room 302 had the sea views and it was great in the evenings to sit with a glass of wine in the balcony. There is a little path with steps to the beach in the front. We tried it and it is not the easiest to get in the water. Lots of stones and sea urchins. If you like wild beaches you will love this one. We spent most of our time relaxing by the pool. The bar provides drinks (which are allowed in the pool area). There was lunch options available from 1 to 3pm and from what I understand dinner from 7 to 9pm (in high season). We only tried the club sandwich once which was good. We were too full from breakfast most of the times so ended up walking to town for food. Breakfast was a great spread. Lots of options with really good quality ingredients. The walk to town is around 10 to 15 minutes. Not very pleasant at dark though. There is a taxi rank at the entrance of the port with a cost from 2.5 to 5 euros (it varied each time). Staff at the hotel are super friendly. They are always checking if anything is needed and always with a smile. We had such a relaxing time!

Staff don’t know what their customers want…

Sadly, what could have been a nice experience was ruined by the appalling attitude of staff toward the local (wild) kittens. We came away from the hotel very upset by unnecessary cruelty. When I contacted them to allow them the opportunity to clarify their actions, they tried to feed me a “tourist” response which I challenged and asked for the truth. They have still not replied…

Great location just a minutes walk to a beautiful beach. Rooms were small, but had all you needed. Great front desk staff, super helpful. He also printed quite a few things for us that we needed for travel (PLF's and Testing documents). We will definitely be staying here again when we are in Aegina again. Some reviews may say these rooms were small, which they were, but this is common for European hotels. We did not have any issues or complaints, and were very very happy with our room and stay.
