OmBodhi Retreat is a simple yet elegant beach front property and believes in fair-trade practices. It is spread over 10 acres of lush green landscape, which includes coconut, cashew nut and casuarina plantation. We are right on the uncrowded, clean and peaceful beach, and provide beachbeds. Simplicity defines the warm ambiance of our cottages. They are well-lighted, airy, have queen-sized bed and AC. Some of the furnishing of the cottages is our own production from family-run handicraft business, which we also supply to Fabindia and Westside. You rest assured that you have an attached bathroom with shower, geyser for hot water, washbasin and basic toiletries. Our restaurant, Cafe Kokam is amidst the coconut plantation overlooking the beach and have outdoor sitting, hammocks. We serve you delicacies which you can enjoy in this pleasant ambiance. This is a place you may not like to leave easily not only because of its excellent location but also for its variety of refreshing juice, beverages as well as delicious food.

Fresh and wholesome food served lovingly by a team of staff who will go out of their way to make your stay comfortable and happy. Rooms are bright, clean with all amenities needed for a stay Cottage balcony overlooks the sea and the sound of the waves are a constant companion. Look forward to my next visit!!

Reviewed By Sourav_100_1984Really really awesome service It is literally the best place you can stay at in Gokarna, Well to be honest it was not just an hotelling experience for me it was rather and awesome connection experience Actually went there on a solo ride. The staff there was so friendly so supportive that they did not help me just inside the hotel but also helped me outside of the hotel too Especially Yusuf Bhai, he was like my best go-to pal during my while gokarna trip, My trip was of just a day but their hospitality made sure i stayed there for 4 complete days, yes i stayed there for 4 days instead of just one because i felt so comfortable with their outstanding hospitality!! Hats off to Yusuf bhai ?

Best part is that even the dormitory have the ACs to beat the coastal heat. The sitting area makes it to be a perfect place to sit, work or just talk with the fellow hostelmates, along with the evening bonfires

Reviewed By kunaltilakStayed at Zostel Gokarna in October 2020 right after the lockdown opened. Drove to Gokarna from Pune. Reached the place at around 7. Checkin was fast and we were given dorms for our stay. The view from the dorms is truly mesmerizing and you can see the entire Gokarna beach coastline from there. The dorms were decent and the toilets were okay. But for the price its actually very good. They have seperate rooms as well for family and couples. They have a common area cum restaurant where you can socialise and have beers and chill. The food was decent in the restaurant. Service was okay. Overall a good place to go with friends for a couple of nights.

Refused us because of being foreign
Reviewed By V4018TXiristWe booked our stay a day in advance and got thr booking confirmed. Once arriving (after a taxi drive for 500 rupees), the care taker simply told us that we can't stay as we are not Indians and that he didn't want to go to the police station to register us as it was too far for him. Once we asked why he even confirmed our booking then, he didn't have any answer. After we left, he even marked our booking as no-show. What a fraud!
