Amazing! If you are debating about Losodeli and another place, stop debating, go to Losodeli. I had been to Puerto before while working remotely and I stayed at an Airbnb. The place was nice, but the wifi was very unreliable there. I heard from someone else that Losodeli had the best wifi in Puerto, so I decided to move there. BEST decision ever. I had zero issues with the wifi, it is fast and reliable and I was able to work remotely there without any issues. On top of that, the ambiance in Losodeli is great. Very nice, chill place. I meet really cool and open people there, everyone is very friendly and nice. Also, the staff is super attentive and care about you have a good experience. Highly recommend!

I spent 4 nights in a dorm room of 4 beds and then had a two bed room to myself for 2 nights. No kitchen area for your own cooking found but pretty good restaurant on top for breakfast or supper or just drinks. Lots of places to eat within a 10 minute walk. The beds were pretty good and the place is clean. Front desk staff are pretty bilingual and pleasant and helpful. Good place to book your tour also as they pick up in the lobby. I would stay here again

Hostal el Rincon de los Camellos

Los Camellos Hostel, established in 1998, was one of the first in this city and is still the most recommended to enjoy your stay in San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas. It’s a beautiful colonial house with courtyard and garden, located in one of the main streets of the historic center, 5 minutes walking from the Zocalo (Central Park) and tourist walkways, in a central, quiet and safe area, next to all the shops that you may need (laundry, fruits and vegetables, mini market, bakery, butchers, restaurants, etc.).We offer a large kitchen super equipped (fridge, oven, blender, juicer, many dishes, utensils and condiments) including free drinking water, coffee and tea all day.The indoor and outdoor commune areas are spacious and well distributed, with places to rest, share and eat.The rooms are spacious, nice and comfortable, with table, chairs, sheets, blankets and towels.Managers are French & Mexican travelers receiving you personally in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The experience of more than 10 years as travelers and hoteliers allows us to always improve, providing cleaning and hygiene, safety and comfort, affordable prices and kindness.

Nearly there...

Look we liked this place. Rooms where clean, central location and reasonably priced. The big kick in the teeth however was wtf lock the kitchen in a secure premises. If you have an early tour or like us a early 12 hoir bus trip....no coffee, no breakfast and you cant get your own food out of the fridge. Really annoying to find this out when we could do nothing about it...seriously?

Andaina Hostel

Some things to improve, yet a good experience

Reviewed By deLord7000

Pros: Spacious, central hostel with cheap beds. Friendly staff, nice patio with a nice view onto Monte Alban and the city, table tennis and fitness room available. Not a party hostel. Has a kitchen. Free water and coffee. Clean. Laundry around the corner. Cons: I wasn't explained anything during the checkin, the staff speak hardly English (some don't at all which I find an absolute no-go for the size of this hostel) and the new guy there was absolutely not knowledgable about a lot of things an employee there should know. Helpful though. The kitchen equipment was bad. There was always a lack of spoons and glasses/cups. Moreover, there were no designated areas for "I'm leaving, take this stuff if you want to" and nobody put his name and departure date onto the stuff in the fridge. I recommended those things but it wasn't implemented (although a simple piece of cardboard would have done). The room was quiet only from ~23:30 to ~07:30. Some trucks and motorbikes were extremely loud. NO internet connection directly on my room 123, but there was enough space outside to sit where there is a connection. But even there, there was sometimes 10% packetloss and a ping of >200ms depending on how many people were using the internet. Well, overall a good experience but the hotel should definately improve on the kitchen situation.

Tower Bridge Hostel

Authentic Mexican neighborhood with best swimming beaches in town Tower Bridge Hostel is a beautiful place in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca that has the amenities and charm of a small resort. We are not in the very touristy zone of Puerto Escondido, but have a lot of exciting and reasonably priced activities to offer. If you are looking for the authentic Puerto Escondido you will find it here! The area is very quiet and safe at night. Our location is right between the city center and Puerto Escondido’s only three safe swimming beaches. Playa Carizalillo, Playa Coral and Playa Manzanillo can be reached in 12-20 minute walks from the hostel. Rich and Cheap Food The local Benito Juarez Market with its lively Mexican atmosphere is just 850 meters (10 minutes) up the road. Social Melting Pot The hostel's goal is to provide an environment where people from all over the world can get together, have a great time and share their travel experiences.

One of the best Hostels I’ve been

Reviewed By Escape18249604604

I have heard good things about the hostel throughout my trip through México and therefore decided to book 3 days. In the end I stayed for 3 weeks. I love this place, the staff and the vibe in general. Especially through the activities with Romy we quickly grew together to a big family and extended our stay again and again. The rooms are really big, it doesn't get too hot at night because of the many fans, the kitchen has everything you need and the pool is unique. The hostel is not quite centrally located but this makes you explore much more and also the tourist areas are within easy reach.

Affordable and nice, perfect for a budget trip!

Let's be honest, you are in Oaxaca to soak up the culture, not to spend all the time at your hostel, for that reason Casa de Don Pablo is perfectly fine. The rooms are comfortable, if slightly dusty and worn. I stayed in a shared double with two twin beds and had plenty of space. We has to use the shared bathroom which was fine except that it was right off the courtyard so privacy was limited. Breakfast was standard but filling and the reception was friendly and helpful. All in all it is a great value, leaving you more money to spend on food and fun in the vibrant city of Oaxaca!

Like a fairytale

I want to like this hostel, I really do. It’s a beautiful old home that feels spacious. Esperanza, the owner is like a grandmother from a fairy tale. At first I thought it was an act..no one is THAT excited described TOAST! JAM! But she’s entirely sincer. Also, unfortunately, she suffers from some form of dementia ( I’ve been in and out of the hostel a few times over the past years) and her functionality has a base rate of 50% but sometimes her memory loses 90% which is horribly sad. Even with this I am fond of her but there are ramifications. There are no Covid policies AT ALL and there was a New Years party and a case and then a case in the next room. This old man slept and hacked and coughed all over the lovely hotel and the official policy was the fumigated the unventilated dorm only. And she retained her lovely, zany, brainless persona even when it was a serious issue.l What can I do?? What can I do? Well, there’s a list. I like her but there are limits when basic functions ( making change for example) are too difficult
