Reviewed By Jason YThe house is nice and neat and offers night activities. The travellers can well communicate and exchange info for their visits. The host is friendly and helpful as well. The place is a bit hard to find though, a navigation might be necessary.

Nice and spacious hotel with great staff
Reviewed By Normilan07We stayed there for 2 nights. Since first, they have staff picking our bags to hotel. Hotel is located in the old city area so you can walk around in reachable distance. Our trip was in wintertime so it’s really cold upthere. Tibetan-style building was not well warm inside but they gave us electric blanket so I can sleep all night warmly in bed. Staff was very active and friendly, promtly gave advices I wanted to know.

Close to Diqing Shangri-La Airport, Desti Youth Park is converted from a traditional Tibetan dwelling and surrounded by vast prairie. Well fitted with various entertaining facilities, the setting boasts comfortable accommodation. With typical Tibetan touches, each of the rooms are cleanly arranged and abundant in natural light. Slippers are offered in the bathroom.
A charming stay.
Reviewed By Josh FI absolutely adored the Desti Youth Park. It has friendly staff and even friendlier Golden Retrievers to greet you. The room style has a rustic charm and the cafe is adorably quaint as well. They have a little auditorium and they were playing My Neighbor Totoro on a projector when I arrived. They were also very wonderful helping get to nearby attractions. All in all a great stay.

Dissapointed what the i get from them because i trust the review and im wrong. Will highly not recommend this hostel to others. So sorry to say. But is happen.

Relaxing place to stay
Reviewed By Angwara AAs the old town area still gets damaged from fire in 2014, we decided to stay at Lao Shay Youth Hostel (2 nights in a family room) which is located a bit far from old town. However the hostel also provides transportation service to/from city centre as well as Shika mountain, just 4 Yuan/way and it does not take a long time. In addition, surrounding areas are spectacular, very close to nature and peaceful. Staff are friendly and service-minded. Clean room, yummy food and fast wifi connection. They also helped book bust tickets to Deqin for us when asked but you have to pay 10 Yuan for gas which we find it reasonable. Everything else is good except for the bathroom. Tap water and the drainage need to be improved. We had to use water from the water filter and cooler in the reception area to brush our teeth and wash our faces. Anyway, we enjoyed our stay there.

Rude staff, good price / quality for food
Reviewed By Sjakie SWe took their bus from Lijiang to the start and have our luggage get send to Tina's. We all arranged this at the Lao Shay youth hostel in Lijiang. Bus stopped in front of the parking lot of the Jin Tian hotel. They could store our luggage for the night with no extra cost. When we arrived at Tina's after the hike (we slept somewhere else) the guy at the counter was very rude and not helpful. We had lunch here which was good and not too expensive.

Very Accommodating Host and Great Overall Experience!
Reviewed By joshuadpachecoIt was my first time visiting Shangrila, Tibet and I made the right choice to stay with Shangrila High Altitude Guest House. The price is just within my budget and I got the private room. The WIFI was also fast enough to browse and post pictures on Instagram. It had a comfortable heated bed and the owner Tiger, even provided 2 comforters because it was very cold (-10C). The room also had a private bath but the heater was not working. When visiting during winter, please note that the room does not have a heater. Tiger was very accommodating and helped out with my tours and airport transfers. He always offers tea and food for free! The location is also in Dukezong Ancient town and has nearby restaurants, bars, and souvenir shops (only around 5-7 mins walking distance). The place is also within 500 meters from the Guishan temple and park. This is a good place for solo travelers
