Engaging, dramatic and descriptive! I had the delight of Doris being my guide on very last evening in Croatia. As a history lover I never grow old of tales from the past. The characters came alive as Doris took us through the narrow winding streets/alleyways of Old Trogir. A small group makes it even more personable although Doris has enough personality for the entire town. Her expressive nature makes these stories and its characters even more spellbinding. Part ghost stories/part living history. Where the two meet is where your journey begins. Follow the light and let your imagination and senses come enlightened.

This is a walking tour of Split with a local historian! I will guide you through all of the relevant sites in the center of Split in a logical manner following the cities development through time. That covers all of Split's history from ancient Roman times till today. I have a Master's degree in history and I can tell you so much more about history. By that, I don't mean only about the history of Split. I can tell you anything you want to know about Croatia in general since I always welcome and encourage questions! I worked as a history teacher so I try and use all of the teaching skills I earned through education and practice. Interaction and dialogue are very important during my tour! Also, I am a local from Split, I've been living here for my whole life. I try to use multi-media as much as possible so I carry a tablet with me which I use to demonstrate a lot of things I am mentioning. The tablet also has a free Wi-Fi hotspot on it for my group!

Inclusions: Free Wi-Fi hotspot

Exclusions: No Admission Tickets Included

We booked a private tour of the Palace and it was the best thing we did. Started early, 0900, as recommended by Toni, and it paid to beat the crowds. Toni was simply excellent and brought the City to life through the ages. The tour was well paced not rushed at all and although advertised at around 2 hours Toni gave us 3 hours of his time and the more you asked the more he was willing to share. Forget the big group tours and choose Toni you won’t be disappointed. Just excellent 5 star.

Highly recommend for a real authentic experience. My husband and I are digital nomads and we have experienced a lot of different tours around Europe but this was an absolute highlight for us. Spending the day with our guide Jadran was just like having a local friend take us out to all the best spots in Split, we felt like we got the very best local experience. Jadran was super knowledgeable, we had such a great time! We visited some amazing spots that you wouldn't get to experience on your own. We went to a fabulous family run winery and also had an incredible feast at a local home, it was very unique and something you can't experience in a restaurant. It was a long day but it felt well timed and very relaxed, we also came home absolutely stuffed from all the wonderful food! If you love food, wine, a taste of history and good company this is the perfect tour.
