Mamedamachi Shopping Street

Reviewed By lizcyni - Singapore, null

We stopped by at Hita on the way back to Fukuoka from Beppu. Hita is a small town with very relaxing atmosphere. The Mamedamachi shopping street is not as big as those in Takayama but enough to spend a couple of hours. There are shops selling local food products, art and craft, sake brewery and even a miso factory that supplies to the Imperial Royal household. Amazing! Of course we have to bring some miso paste home to try.

Kitsuki Castle Town

Reviewed By Satoshi_Tky - Tokyo Prefecture, Japan

If you want to escape from the hustle and bustle of crowded tourist sites, you should go to Kitsuki Castle Town. There are some old houses where Samurai used to live, so called Buke-Yashiki. I could relax and enjoy beautiful autumn foliage. .
