Came across this little gem 25th Jan. Fabulous little quaint restaurant, never made it upstairs but we could hear fabulous music been played which carried down. Food was amazing. We had the prawns gambas to start and the prawns were beautifully cooked in garlic on sourdough bread, just wanted more.... the other dishes we had were panfried hake on chorizo risotto OMG amazing, so tasty. Also seabass in a creamy mushroom sauce. They hadn't got a children's menu but were willing to cook anything from their main menu in a more simple version. Kids both had chicken fillet with plain spaghetti pasta and they lapped it up. Staff were super friendly and attentive. Also what's more made us feel extremely welcome with the children on a busy Saturday night at 8pm. Had a beautiful bottle of Albarino wine called Charquino. Couldn't fit desert in but children had ice cream and even the presentation for the children's ice cream was pretty. Unfortunately I got no pictures but we will definitely be back and highly recommend.

If I was lucky enough to live within walking distance of this lovely promenade I would indeed be a very grateful lady. Yes, it is very busy on a nice day and you do have many children, dogs, bicyclists and roller skaters to share with, bu it is a lovely walk with plenty of places to rest, breathe in that sea air and watch the world go by.

St. Declan's Way is a 104 Km long ancient pilgrimage running from Cashel, Co. Tipperary to Ardmore, Co. Waterford, the home of St. Declan. It passes through the towns of New Inn, Cahir, Ardfinnan, Goatenbridge, Lismore, Cappoquin, Aglish and Ardmore.

Its been 2 years since my last review and i can happily report that the amenity is improving all the time. Additional Signposts, Dog foul Bins and other enhancements are in place. Starting in Tullamore. To the West the Greenway now extends 15km to Pollough (The wonderful Lough Boora Parklands is accessible a further 12km along, but there is some work yet to be done to enhance the route). The route is rural. The surface is a mix of tarmac and dust track but is well maintained and suitable for walkers and cyclists of all ages and abilities. To the East the greenway stretches to Ballycommon (6km) with similar underfoot conditions. Since Covid-19 this wide open air free amenity is well populated and appreciated by all. Plans to extend to Daingean (6km further East), Lough Boora Parklands (West) and Kilbeggan to the North of Ballycommon (partially constructed) are nearing construction (2021!). Tips :- Bring a lunch and plenty of water for long strolls. Toilets are not provided (yet!?), thus public houses in Tullamore, Pollagh (the Pull INN (lovely pub) and Ballycommon are your best bet for the time being if caught short (and to have a well deserving pint perhaps!). Out of towners seeking bike hire can hire from Buckley Cycles or the Tullamore Cycle Centre both providing top quality new bikes at affordable costs. Enjoy a trek/spin and spread the good word.

A nice little stop off on your way to Din Aonughusa, set near the ocean, ruins of 7 churches. Reccomend visiting for a little break on your route.

We had the most fabulous walk with excellent directions and information posters. You can complete the full walk (only about 5 km) and it is incredibly varied and beautiful, going through fields, woods, by ruins and along Lough Ree. The ruins are amazing and we didn't come across any other walkers which was great for us although a bit sad that more people aren't aware of this place. This is one of the best walks we've done in Ireland.
