Visited in October 2019. The path has recently reopened having had some restoration work. The start of the walk recommends having some climbing equipment. This might be relevant in poor weather i.e. ice/snow. Otherwise walking shoes and boots will suffice. It's a steady exciting walk (with some challenging parts if you haven't climbed before) with a bit of climbing and hanging on so as not to fall in the lake (the drop varies from 0 to 60 feet. Only suitable with children if well supervised. If you fall, it could be onto sharp rocks or into the lake (this part of the lake is very dangerous due to the underwater current). Great fun and fabulous views across the lake.

The strangely named Dr. Vogelgesang-Klamm is well worth a visit. Very very beautiful - with fresh water from the mountain thundering past as you climb the gorge. Breathtaking scenary. Unfortunately we only had time for the first part of the hike - around a hour and half - total time recommended for the entire hike is around 5 hours. Would love to go back.
